Clarity, please, re: the issue of "saving" what we still want on the old platform.

Marcy, I've been trying to get on the old site for the last 10 hours. Everytime I enter the url, I get redirected to this site. All my links and photos have disappeared off my other sites,

What url are you using to access the site?

I only have half of my library save and only half of my photos.

I had a similar experience to Pat's all day and night on Friday, May, 30, 2008. I also got a notice in my e-mail that a PI message was sent to me yesterday. I could not reply because I could not access PI messaging. I kept getting redirected to the new platform and I received notices that the old community was no longer available on Friday, May, 30, 2008.

Pat, today, May 31, 2008, the old PI platform is officially gone.

I could not retrieve anything substantial from the Way Back Machine.

Moving on and going with the flow of WELL-BEING!

Well, unfortunately for some, it seems that the site is now re-directing to this site a day early.

AND..... One way around this if you want to see old stuff or save it is to go to google and type in what you want.

For example I typed in powerful intentions marcy blog

and than clicked the cache when my old site came up.

Use "powerful intentions" your old PI user name and what you are looking for.

You have to click the cache link when you find it.

You can find alot of old stuff that way, it's not perfect but it works.

Any suggestion how to get to the library stuff marked private ?
Or to get to the photos?

I do not think you can get to photos or anything private UNLESS you remeber the links, if you do put the links in google ( I did this for a few things and it worked! )

AS for photos you can not redown load them from a cache because they are not really there ( if ya know what I mean )

But if you uploaded photos they should be on your computer anyway?

BTW at some point we may be able to recover the old site and repost it.

But it is just something we may try to do because we all loved it, we can not make any promises etc,
it would be a labor of love and depends upoun many different things .

If this happens we will let you know!

I hope you can repost! We all did LOVE it!

There was a wealth of info lost . I think it could very well support itself with ads for all the search terms and the high seo results. I know people would keep linking to the info, which would keep it high in the search engines.

I know I would like to continue linking to the info.

I support Pat too. : ) I know I often read others' posts etc, before I joined the PI community. I benefited from others' info, expressions and creations from earlier years, before I joined the community. It took me awhile before I posted and participated in the beginning.

There was a wealth of collective creations and useful info shared, over the years, worthy of maintaining for ALL to experience NOW and in the future. The old platform was easy to navigate and use. It was clear and user friendly. It felt comfortable and GOOD! ; ) There was way more than my own posts/threads etc. that I wanted to save for future reference.

IN THIS MOMENT, NOW, I AM GRATEFUL and I GIVE THANKS TO and FOR ALL! : )
