I got into LOA over a decade ago when I was in college. Back then I was into Wicca and witchcraft but my college budget didn't really allow me to keep buying all the herbs, oils and candles that I needed for spell work. I started delving into the metaphysical aspect of magic and that's when I realized that the basis of magic was actually the law of attraction. That being said, I was far more successful with spell casting than manifesting. I think the missing link for me was the tangibility of magic. It's easier for me to connect with the Universe if I could speak to something that I could physically see and touch. I decided to integrate magic and the law of attraction. Essentially I made a voodoo doll of the Universe. And no, I don't stick pins in it. But I can see this thing, and touch it and speak to it. Instead of simply visualizing, I can describe what I want and how I am feeling to this thing. It only felt silly in the beginning. Once I got into the habit of speaking to it everyday, I found it much easier to request and release. And it's easier to "trust" that this thing will deliver my requests because in my mind I am imagining that there is a spirit in this thing who is listening. It's almost like asking a friend for a favor and you know the friend will say yes. On a small scale, I've manifested movies I'd like to watch, favorite episodes of shows I want to watch, food I'd like for dinner, and different scenarios at work. On the larger scale, I manifested my beautiful baby boy (after having two girls in a row), my move to Las Vegas, and the awesome job that brought me here. In the past few months I've been experimenting with prayer rain journaling, binaural beats and EFT, but I think my voodoo doll has been my favorite and most successful.
Whatever works, magic can work as long as you believe it :) in fact we live in such an amazing world where world is what you think it is, so methods and techniques can be any, as long as they work for you. literally anything can be possible xx
