So since leaving school I’ve just gone from job to job and still don’t know what to do. I’ve asked for guidance from the universe and spirit guides but no reply. How can the universe help me figure out my passion in life? Thankyou xx
Okay the first things first – you say you have asked for guidance, - well its kind of like saying I need to find a needle in a haystack. You need to be really specific with what you want from the universe, because it always answers us. So saying “I don’t know what to do” is saying to the universe “I have not got a clue what to do” and there is nothing there that the universe can answer. If however you change that around a bit by being more specific then things can start changing. So what do you enjoy doing? If you have gone from job to job, then you will have an idea of things that you like and things that you dislike and then you can start recognizing these and asking the universe how to make money doing those kind of things. There isn’t only one passion in life, but there are many but the way to start identifying it is by doing some examination of what you have done already so you are clear on what you want to do.
I've also been wondering what I should do. If Source knows all things, it should know where we should go and what we should do. It should know where we would be most happy. I've just been praying for guidance on where I should go and what I should do, but I haven't gotten any guidance yet. I have no passion, but Source should still know where I would be most happy. I guess I'll just keep praying for guidance.
Source knows things, but it wont ever over ride your free will. Plus some times in discovering your passions you learn and evolve along the way. If you were presented with your passions in an easy method, often times we would write them off as being insignificant. Source wants the best for you and is always meeting you where you are at and where you are willing to go. Likewise asking for guidance is great, and its likely source is providing clues or signals to you, but like most things Source wont ever force you to take action. Likewise Source has a wide range of resources so with something like “happiness” – it has more than one method of you having that, so until you get clear on what you are looking for and taking action to step towards it – Source can’t do anything. Its literally like being at the drive through of your choice, getting to the place where you put your order and not speaking your order. The person on the other end has a wide range of foods, but is sitting waiting for your order and you aren’t saying anything. They have a lot of different tasty options but they are waiting for you to say what you want.
If Source know all things it probably knows you better than you know yourself. So it should know where you would be most happy. A Course in Miracles teaches that the Holy Spirit (your Higher Self) can direct your path. HS can tell you where to go, who to talk to, and what to say.
I think you are confusing things here. The ACIM does not address Higher Self. If you read it it doesn't actually separate any part of ourselves from our bodies (higher self, soul etc) and it teaches that the body is a vehicle for the purposes of learning only. It also says that the Holy Spirit is always directing us but that we usually ignore those messages.
ACIM does not use the term Higher Self, I do. ACIM uses the term Holy Spirit which means the same thing to me. I just prefer the term Higher Self. It teaches that you can perceive with the Holy Spirit or with the ego - with your higher self or your lower self, with love or with fear. One of the 365 lesson actually says that the Holy Spirit can direct your path very specifically - it will tell you where to go, who to talk to, and what to say.
If money were not an issue, if you had time to do anything you want to do, what would you want to do? Life should be fun, what is fun for you? What do you want that no one is providing right now? What are your interests?
I received this email today I thought might be helpful in getting guidance. I probably attracted it with the law of attraction since I was just thinking about this yesterday. I don't necessarily recommend A Course In Miracle - it's a pain to read, but the post might be helpful.
