Powerful Intentions: Law of Attraction Community

I haven't been as active on here as i would like as of late so here goes a question. How do you know when you focus all of your intention on what you want, how do you know that your doing it correctly. I have read so many things saying do it this way or that way or in this order. Its kind of overwhelming to a point because everyone has their opinion on what works or works for them for that matter. I know that this is a broad question but i cannot think of any other way to put it. Thanks to all that reply.

In other words, when you are feeling terrific or interested...you are in the proximity of all that you want...whether you are actually thinking about what you want OR NOT :-)

Good to know! But remember....when you feel bad, it is not about feeling good, it is about feeling BETTER....and the emotional guidance scale is your ticket to feeling better and better and better and better and eventually terrific...where all things come to you easily.

And how do you stay there long enough instead of having to go through guidance scale forever? No books I found says how to stay there long enough and that would mean until it happens? And that could be a long time too depends on what it is. Would appreciate a bit more explanations. Thank you.

You use the scale until you feel nothing but appreciation for what you want, and you know that it is coming, if you want to use it to the maximum. How long it takes just depends on how much air time you give to the work, and how diligent you are at pulling any loose threads out of the creation...meaning how deliberately you keep your self alert for any "negative" emotion...and then start identifying it and working it up the scale. OR, how deliberately you keep the desire off your mind while you make a full time carreer out of finding things to appreciate.

It is amazing how easy appreciation is. The color of navy blue against fern green takes my breath away every time I walk into my bedroom, and I do an internal dance of joy for the pleasure it elicits. Beige and cranberry delight my senses.....a full refrigerator...bills paid with money left over....children laughing...the car running smoothly....I saw a tree today that was majesty and miracle made manifest. The joy is in the journey; how long is irrelevant when you get the hang of this because you are having fun on the way AND once you get what you want...you will want something anew. Guaranteed.

When your body temperature gets to exactly 98.7 you've then done it right. Just kidding.

My input is that you have done it right no matter what. Just accept that (harder than it sounds :)

The way to focus that feels best to you will work best for you. There is always more than one way to do anything. All approaches to learning to focus require practice, practice, practice.

When you focus on manifesting something your subconscious will look for belief patterns that will support that focus as well as all of the belief patterns that will cause resistance to manifesting it. We have to guide the subconscious to ignore the resistant beliefs (can take some work if there is fear around it) and to find new patterns to support what we want.

As Patra says, when you start to feel confident and exhilarated about what you are focussing on you are getting there. As long as you feel any tension or anxiety then you still have beliefs that conflict with your goal which need to be addressed. This is where patience come in as well as practice. Just keep reinforcing the new beliefs and the focus until you feel the resistance dropping away and the excitement building.

An example here might be that you have learned a belief in childhood that all people who have lots of money are greedy which you see as being a bad thing. Such a belief causes strong resistance when we strive to increase our wealth then because of the conflict of not wanting to be greedy/bad and wanting more money. We have to undo the old belief about greed and replace it with something like "the more money I have the more good I can do with it" so each time the sense of tension comes up we relax and reinforce the new belief until it becomes the new habit around money which is to feel relaxed and good about having it.

Again as Patra points out, it's not about going from 0 to millions overnight. Start where you are and build up momentum towards your goal. It's far less overwhelming that way and there's no race.
