I know about H, but i find myself very resistant when I try to use it- means it's really important, right?? LOL

I just can't get to the point yet of saying "I love you" to things I don't like yet - and I know if I keep saying it, those things won't appear as much...I know, I know...

I think someone else is confusing H with Huna, which is very different. If you have ever read any of Dr. Hew Len, he really doesn't list H with huna at all..but if it feels good for you do it, go for it.

I perfectly understand the ground of H, just saying "thank you" and "i love you" constantly over and over, but I have resistance getting to that spot. I just can't get to the point where I "let go" of what I want - I feel you should focus on your goals and desires, you know?

but I think things would be better if I could just let go, but my yoga background is irksome there, I don't want to just sit in a cave all day!!!! So all the work with H is internal now, just trusting that the Universe has my back ("watching my six"), and knows I want things, and is working on getting me there.

I good website is Mabel Katz' http://www.whatishooponopono.com and the audio - although it doesn't really tell you how to do it.

I would love to recommend joe vitales' Zero Limits book, but half the book is spent spamming the reader on his businesses, so it's kind of annoying to read....but the interviews and talks from Dr. Len are amazing.

Hi Doug, there are four statements to the ho'oponopono chant, not two. And you aren't saying I love you to the issues but to yourself. AND you aren't letting go of what you want with the chanting but letting go of problems in your life.

I posted the link to the group on this site below. Perhaps more reading would help you understand the process so that the resistance you have will evaporate. Or chant the resistance away!

[sigh] Joe Vitale...[shakes head]

On the one hand, I've received a lot of excellent information through him. On the other hand, a lot of his materials are redundant (repeated across several books with a little bit of new stuff added each time), and his endless self-promotion gets annoying.

That said, he does have an audiobook available from Nightingale-Conant called The Missing Secret that contains a section on Self-Identity Ho'oponopono. I found it very useful, as it not only gives the "Thank you, I love you, I'm sorry, Please forgive me" mantra, but explains why it works.

I have not read Zero Limits, but I'll skim it next time I'm in a bookstore to see if it has anything new to add to what I've already learned.

My experience with Ho'oponopono has been amazing, even though I'm not very disciplined at using it on a regular basis--I tend to use it for specific circumstances as I notice them.

Using it has changed relationships I have that used to be "problems." My dad and I used to rub each other wrong; I still held a grudge against someone in my past; I would get angry over certain people's actions. When I began using Ho'oponopono on those relationships, they cleared up. They cleared up. I get along so much better with my dad now, and the old grudge is GONE, and the people who used to make me angry either don't behave the same way or it doesnt bother me when they do.

And this one sounds silly, but I have a cat who has had chronic digestive issues for years. The vets couldn't find anything specifically wrong with him that they could treat, but he still had trouble. Sometimes he suffered serious distress from it. One night, while meditating, I got the sudden knowledge that this particular kitty was very sensitive to chaos, disorder and conflict, and that his stress over those things manifested as digestive problems. (I hadn't asked that question, but the answer came anyway!)

So I thought I'd try using Ho'oponopono (which I had only just heard of) to clear whatever chaos, disorder and conflict was within me that was manifesting itself as the cat's illness--hey, it couldn't hurt, after all. And it worked. Within a week, he was obviously better, and it's now been three months and he has had no recurrence of his problems. He's back to being a normal, healthy cat for the first time in...six years, I think?

And even though I've been spotty about using it, i notice that I feel much more peaceful when I do. I admit I'm still most likely to use it when faced with something I don't like, but I'm trying to integrate it into the rest of my life.

Here is the link to the Ho'oponopono group.......lots and lots of information. http://powerfulintent.ning.com/group/hooponopono

I chant every day on my way to and from work. My life is very smooth these days, for the most part. Is it from chanting? I don't KNOW but I will keep chanting and clearing.
