I came across this really cool piece of sports news today:
Call it karma or a coincidence. Donte Whitner doesn't really care. The day he was going to tell his coach, Jim Harbaugh, about his idea to order 90 copies of a motivational book called "The Law of Attraction: The Basics of the Teachings of Abraham," Harbaugh held a team meeting and talked about goals.
.........By then, the 49ers should have had time to digest part of the book Whitner plans to distribute next week. He wants teammates to envision winning a Super Bowl, to set the goal, to funnel their energy into positive thinking, to will it to happen.
Harbaugh approved. It fit his message: Set a goal and strive to achieve it. For San Francisco, the goal is simple, realistic and attainable, even if there is conventional wisdom to the contrary.
I find it amazing how even professional sports teams/atheletes are opening their minds to law of attraction, especially the teachings of Abraham Hicks!! Although I am a cowboys fan, I won't be surprised if the 49ers win the Superbowl this year!
wow ppl need too much proof im learning to BELIEVE WITHOUT SEEING AND ITS WORKING!!!!! :]
The bigger LoA story here is the Kaepernick made a "time capsule" as a child that had a football trophy and a letter that said he wanted to play in the NFL, either for the Packers or "49ers" when he grew up....
The 'Niners are currently getting their butts handed to them at half-time, courtesty of the Baltimore Ravens . . .
. . . but there's no denying they made it to the Big Dance, and there's no telling how things will unfold in the second half . . . so since I'm not invested in either team, I'm simply watching to see how it all unfolds . . .
Happy Super-Bowl Sunday, everyone :-)
Its unfortunate the 49ers couldn't take it all the way but I have a feeling they will be Superbowl winners very soon! Here is a video of Esther actually talking about the whole experience with the 49ers - very interesting story!
FYI: in the video Esther mentions that someone sent her a link about that ESPN article.......that someone was me!
They are good enough.... They are my early NFC pick anyway.
But I have heard many other players discuss "The Secret", and so forth. Sports brings out the best of focus in athletes and coaches.
Plus, people have been aware of it since the beginning of time. It isn't like a magical sword that gets passed around, some people have just always called it some other name.
"In pursuit of excellence", the slogan of the Raiders, carried them for a decade or so. People believe "Dallas is America's Team", and even when they have terrible seasons they hang in there. Thank God for a salary cap, so Jerry Jones can't buy the Superbowl every season. ;)
