Should you ever just give up?
I truly believe that the thing that I want is going to come true. I know it in my heart of hearts. I was telling a friend about it and she asked, how do you know when you are being told "no"? When it seems like everyday there is a new resistance or reason as to why I am not going to get it, at what point to you look at things like the universe it telling you no, you aren't going to get that, and start looking elsewhere? I believe that there are times when we want things that aren't in our best interest even though we may not see it at the time. What if the thing that I want most in this world isn't what's best for me and I'm just hanging on futilely? Help.

From what I understand, the LOA is meant to send you down the right path if used correctly.
For instance, I've gone to school for a certain career path, but signs around me have shown me a different path that I will enjoy that much more. I don't see it as having given up on my original career goal, just I'm on an alternative path that is better for me.
I once read a blog about the writer's dream to being published and an anonymous person sent in a question to an editor asking the very same question. Her response was that if your heart is no longer into the idea of becoming a published writer or you feel your life would be much happier giving up the pursuit of publishing your novel it's time to throw in the towel. She signed off by saying only the person in question could answer that question.
I would say that the editor's advice to that writer could be very well applied to your situation.

When you are in complete harmony with the Universe, which is all good, then you have tapped into the greatest power there is to support you. To harmonize yourself with the Universe and allow all good to flood into your life, speak good words, plan good thoughts and generate good feelings.
We are not able to see the bigger picture of our lives, but the Universe/Source/God or Creative Power can see it all. Sometimes we think that something is right for us, but when it doesn't unfold the way we thought, have faith in the Universe that it is matching up all of our inner desires and marrying them into every aspect of our lives.....
We can have, be, do anything that is the ALL GOOD FOR ALL that exists, there is no NO, that is a word created by man to communicate a decision - The Universe/Source/God is an energy force where there are no boundaries, no limits.....
Look within to find the answers you are seeking, you already have the answers, you must listen to hear it.....Become one with the Universe/Source/God become positive, just tip the balance and you will begin to see things differently and more and more of your heart's desires become more and more of your reality, the moment you ALLOW yourself the opportunity to trust and believe that you are of God, you have the power be, do, have anything you want by channeling your energy.....

As long as the goal is important enough to you your subconscious will maintain the motivation to keep going. You may want to look at the plan you are using to manifest it though. People don't fail ever but plans do sometimes.
What's best for you is always what you decide it is. There is no power outside of you that has the right to make that decision unless you give it the power. When we start to manifest something new we are changing our subconscious patterns and they will resist. It may involve replacing old belief pattern with new ones. The subconscious has to know what to do with old beliefs that work against our new goal.
The feelings and sometimes events that occur that appear to be telling us not to go that way are really just the subconscious saying "Hey! what do I do with all this old stuff please?" We need to direct Ku ( a Hawaiian word for subconscious) to set aside the old beliefs and reinforce the new ones. The events and feelings DO NOT MEAN that you can't or shouldn't go down that path. It just means you have old stuff to resolve to make it happen.

Thank you Kahu! Do you have any guidance on how to direct my Ku to set aside the old beliefs? What you are saying makes complete sense looking at my situation, I just don't know how to accomplish "out with the old and in with the new". Also, do you have any suggestions on changing the plan used to manifest? I meditate, keep pictures around me of what I want, I have associated what I want with music that makes me feel good, and I work on keeping my vibration positive. Your insight is appreciated. Thank you!

Well LOA says, as does the third principle of Huna, what you put your attention on you put energy into. When you find your thoughts and behaviours drifting back to the old patterns you just need to say "Hey Ku, that's the old stuff we don't want any more. Focus on the new stuff" In the moment reinforce the new pattern. Even if you are right in the middle of a thought or an action - STOP. reaffirm the new and proceed with the new behaviour. And DON"T get cross with yourself because it doesn't help. It's just the process so relax and ride with it.
As you move your focus off the old it will fade because you are no longer putting energy into it. You are just creating a new habit for yourself.
Remember that if you are manifesting something that involves the cooperation of others it can take some time for the universe to line things up so we need to learn to let things unfold and not force them. It takes practice, practice and more practice until you begin to live it rather than do it.

No, you don't give up, but you may have to let go and take the detour.
I know exactly how you feel. I am there. It is definitely a time of faith,
of stepping into the unknown, letting go and letting God.
One day I realized it is not coming--.every day another blow and I realized I could no longer "live on love".
I have spent the last month in what seems to be an erasing of my life as I know it. Wow!
I believed if I took positive action working toward my goals things would get better, but it just got worse.
It took awhile to come to terms with reality. I believed I would make it and it seemed like for
awhile it was happening but, when the economy started it's slide,
I got caught in the avalanche. It has cost me dearly. I was doing everything right, everything was good, then business just dried up. (I would like to ask WHY, when one believes, takes positive action, believes, follow the signs and go through the open doors, believe and have faith, works diligently and happily toward a goal, then WHY do I end up losing everything? I was supposed to get money, not losing everything!!!!)
I asked the same questions you just have. I finally surrendered my dream, at least in the form I had
come to know. The dream is still there, but now it is a feeling and not attached to physical manifestation
anymore.
I told myself to let go of the outcome and believe that all this is happening for an even better future.
Maybe it is time to reflect, envision and understand what is truly important to me.
I have been through a few challenges and painful trials and know that I can get through this and refuse
to let it beat me down--it is definitely building my emotional muscles . I still have my positive spirit and
believe that my new unplanned journey will be an adventure in rediscovery. I am excited to learn what
is behind door #3.
In the meantime, I am experiencing life as it comes and learning to be content,
joyful and happy right where I am. This is a challenge as I am someone who
is driven to accomplish something, to have a goal, to be successful.
Uga, I realize your potential surrender may be much different than mine, but that
doesn't mean giving up, just consider it a detour along your journey. Also, you may
want to look up the universal laws to help you understand that the LOA is only one
element and that every thing must work together for the greater good.
There is a purpose for a roadblock-- climb over if you can--but beware, roadblocks
are there for a reason. Only you know for sure when to abandon doing things your way.
If you can't get around the roadblock, discover a new route.

Good question. The universe won't be the one to tell you no although it may seem that way to you. You are and will be the only one telling you NO. The"How am I telling myself No when I want it soooo badly?" is a tough concept to grasp at first. But that another question and not the one you asked.

You have a subconscious expectation of not getting what you are asking for. Your conscious mind wants it but your subconscious mind has some reason to avoid it. You have to change the subconscious belief so that it allows you to have what you want.
