This is an interesting exercise I just came up with afer replying to a comment on an earlier discussion about rewording how you "want" things.
We all have a habit of saying "I want this/that..." when we see soemthing we like. So when you are about to say something like that, stop for a sec, and replace "want" with "have", then say, "I have this/that...". This is useful in the privacy of your own home if you go on sites like Amazon, eBay, Pinterest, etc, or see a commercial on TV or listen to a song on the radio (FM or Pandora).
Nintendo commercial: Buy our new Nintendo Switch Deluxe Edition!
Old Belief Response: Oh, my God, I want that! I REALLY REALLY WANT THAT!
What you really mean: Ah, man, I really lack that game console AND IT'S KILLING ME!
What you should be saying: Oh, my God, I HAVE that! I REALLY REALLY HAVE IT!
Universe's Response: Yes, you do. You REALLY REALLY DO.
See what I'm getting at here? You should try it.
