The secret to a fantastic body is this -

* Do not focus on overweight. You attract more of what you focus on.

* Focus on good health. It does not matter what you look like NOW - what you now see in the mirror is a residue of your past thoughts and actions. The good things you do for your body today will show next week in the mirror. Eat fruit and vegetables, not too much meat. I personally never eat white bread, only very dark brown bread, but then...i'm dutch! :-)

* Regular exercise is the foundation stone of good health - physical, mental and emotional well-being.

* And the most important thing - find a passion in life. Overweight and physical neglect are SYMPTOMS. They are a sign that you do not value life. Finding this value, this diamond within you is something only you can do for yourself.

* Make a deep commitment to yourself towards health, happiness and balance. Life does not work by quick-fix or hoping for miracles. Life runs on the fuel of passion, a vision of that passion, and a deep commitment to/ belief in that passion. Once you take the plunge, miracles do come your way.

By the way, i'm 165 cms tall and weigh 52 kgs. That would be about 5'5" tall and 114 pounds. I work out 3 times, at least 2 times a week in a gym. So i do practice what i preach.

That's a great fitness formula! I love the phrase 'diamond within you' - if only more people would recognise the precious person they are inside and treat their bodies accordingly!

Thank you for sharing this. All the things here is absolutely right, I know it so very, very wel. But it seems like my ego has taken control over me. My ego want to sitt down all the day and eat unhealthy food. I (my sold) want to eat healthy and exercise every day. How can I win over my ego - get the motivation?

I've decided to use the help of this loving forum to keep me motivated.....I figure, one day-five minutes......Is still 35 minutes more a week then I wasn't doing and I figure 35 minutes out of 168 hours should be something I can do for myself - it's all about health, happiness and balance and the better we feel about ourselves all together, the better people we will be.....Sounds motivational to me, especially when I consider that I must FEEL deserving in order to be giving......I have to care about myself......we can do this together Eva.....want to try?

So we have a pact......No matter how busy our days are or what's on TV, we promise each other to at least take five minutes out of our day and do something physical.....Anything, dancing, stretching, moving, grooving, aerobics, anything.....But no fair house work or walking to the store, those will just be added bonuses for us.....Still give a complete five minutes a day towards the sole purpose of exercising.....and we can keep each other motivated, maybe in a couple of weeks when we are a little more pumped up - we can increase it to ten.....easy.....I'll take five with a commitment for right now, and promise to give this my ALL......To us Eva.....to all of us!

OK Awesome, we now have a deal! I will do it at the first time to day. I suggest that we send a message to each other every day to tell what kind of exercising we do yesterday. Then, tomorrow I mail you, and told you about my yesterday exercising. What do you think about that? It's ok that way?

Eva - You are right when you say that your soul want to eat healthy foods. Your soul is healthy. Human beings medicate themselves with food when some other area of life is not functioning properly. You have to identify which area in your life is giving you pain and/ or unfulfillment.

The only time i feel like rewarding myself with food is when i force myself to do something i really, really DO NOT want to do. The art of life is to not let such circumstances occur in your life. Examples are - work that you don't like but you need to do for the money, a spouse whose vibrations cause you pain/ loss of power even if only occasionally.

That's why I said earlier - find your passion!! When you are KNOW what gives you a natural high, you can get totally busy doing it, and then believe me, you won't even think about food any more !! And additionally this good feeling gives the inspiration and energy required to take a walk, go to the gym or go to a marketplace and shop for a basketful of fruit or vegetables. They are all interlinked.

Good post Mallica.

It is more and more frecquently that I find people aware of their health.

THAT IS GOOD NEWS.

I practice my fair share of active life daily.

I jog 60 - 90 minutes every day at mid day (as a matter of fact I´m on my way home to my daily jogging.

I´m 43 years young. Don´t smoke, drink only in small doses and for a ggod celebratory reason.)eat healthy, get nutritional supplements.
I like to read ands keep informed on healthy issues.

So i think I can also consider myself an "authority" when speaking about health
