Hey I watched your video and I think what you are taking about is a tool, just a tool that helps you feel better but it’s not the secret to happiness I wouldnt call it that, laughing and smiling is all great until a tragedy happens , I know it’s a drastic example and I don’t know if you have kids, but imagine a parent who loses a young child, as in death, do you think they could smile about it? They could laugh to be happy regardless what has happened ? See smiling and laughing is a tool it can be used but won’t always be effective. happiness is nothing more than a choice, it’s the awareness of choice you can make. You ca choose to be happy even within the tragedy, perhaps not at first but aventualy you will have a free choice on how you want to feel about it , whatever situation. So I believe happiness is a choice is the ability to choose how you want to feel, choose whatever perspective you wish to have in the end the world is exactly what you think it is.
I believe if you want to smile about the wonderful memories you have of your child, you can. Would it be appropriate to smile at your child's burial? No. But is it appropriate to smile because of the good memories you have of your child, most definitely. And yes, I do have a daughter.
The thing is, studies have found that thoughts follow actions. If you lose your child, and you never smile about the memories of your child, then you will always be sad about the loss of your child. Smiling and laughing are the best healers for loss, IMO.
Dear Brodie , my lovely fiend this was not an attack on your realisation:) it is just an example that laughter is a tool which you can use to help yourself feel better. I am not saying theres anything wrong with what you are saying, not at all.
I believe if you want to smile about the wonderful memories you have of your child, you can.
Well this is exactly what i am trying to say. You have a choice, and that choice is the key is the secret to everything. So it is just about the way you put it in words thats all :)
I realized shortly after this, that there is another piece to the puzzle that I had forgotten, and that is to focus on what you can do to make the world a better place, as opposed to thinking of your own problems.
Focus is pretty much everything, you get what you focus on, and the world is what you think it is, what you focus on :) I'm a Hunatic, it just means i follow a Hawaiian life philosophy called Huna, well i don't follow it this might be a confusing word, to follow,'ll put it in a different way...... i choose to employ philosophies principles in to my own life, the principles are:
1. The World Is What You Think It Is.
2. There are no limits.
3. Energy Flows Where Attention Goes.
4. Now Is The Moment Of Power.
5. To Love Is To Be Happy With (someone or something).
6. All Power Comes From Within.
7. Effectiveness Is The Measure Of Truth.
Aloha to you
Aloha! and Thanks!
