authorities about a situation that requires aid.

After doing some research, we have decided to not keep any suicide
posts on the site.

We will send the member a private message telling them if they feel
very depressed or feel like they might want to kill themselves PLEASE
call a suicide hotline right now http://suicidehotlines.com Or to go to
an E.R. or call police. EVERYONE is of extreme value !

Since some people have asked or posted I wanted address a few things.

Banned or suspended.

If someone is banned or suspended it is always with good reason, ( please see "rules of conduct" )
and is not done lightly.

For Privacy reasons , to protect everyone's privacy, We do NOT discuss with others if or why a member has been suspended.

It is also rare that we make a suspension permant, if we do, it is usually because of repeat, spamming, or being abusive to other members or PI staff / or moderators.

ALSO..some people request to have their account deleted, sometimes for personal reasons .

They can and should do this themselves, but sometimes they can not and ask us to do it.
We can NOT do it, BUT we can " Ban " or "Suspend" them, which will do the same same
thing, but looks like they did not ask for the deletions.

ALSO, if someone leaves PI all their pages posts etc get deleted, if they started a post it will be gone.

Finally, sometimes people just delete their own posts for thier own reasons, in which case, who wants to deal with a million " what happenned to that post? " Posts.

Deleted posts

We will delete posts that violate "rules of conduct".

We will also delete posts that keep asking " who deleted my post"," Let's see if this one get's deleted too"
Why is "so and so" saying this or that" ....You get the picture.

Sometimes posts were never deleted, people just have not learned how to find them!

Please read the above rules carefully because you will see that if something actually was deleted it
will be covered in those rules.

Also everything I wrote for banned applies to deleted posts as well!

ALSO

Please do not make posts about people who have left PI , or ask where is "so and so"
multiple times or "bumps"

It is OK to wonder how someone is, but please do not make repeated posts or
"bumps" about them.

We do look after people's privacy, some people do not want to be posted
about, some people leave PI and delete their info and do not want posts
about them afterward, etc etc.

In addition, sometimes people just do not post that often and there
have been times when every other post has been..has anyone seen "so and
so "?

People can make friends here and exchange emails' privately if they
wish to do so.

Not everyone wish's do do that.

Because I , and the other Mod's get both complaints and info from members that tell us they want things private, we do know informatin about others, but we will not risk anyone's privacy.

So please do not ask us, we usually can not tell you.

This is also why we delete certain posts, especially when people make up something , rumors start, and we can not give answers for privacy reasons.

And finally.....all of the above is given as a one time explanation, because some people have asked,
and because we really do want to keep OUR focus on our intentions and the intentions of PI!

About Members being " banned"

We don't "hate " anybody, and it's not personal.

Other than spam or ads , Members get usually get banned because they repeatedly breaking PI rules such as being rude to other members, posting about other people in negative and personal ways, posting about things that have nothing to do with LOA, being underage.

PI is a place for people who are in alignment with PI's intentions.

This does not in any way make a member a bad or hated person, many of our own children or mates are not members, even though they are great people, they are just not in alignment with PI

We don't ban many people, but often the same people will return time and again under a new name.

Usually, our moderators remove them not because they know who it is,are but because of the same behavior and
posts. We don't ban because of one or two " broken rules", it is more about the general energy and intentions felt by them. Often they get multiple complaints.

WE are volunteers and like simple and easy, so it's just not easy to have to keep playing post police etc.

We do not reban people when they rejoin because when they use a different name we don't know who they are, but if they get multiple complaints and post in the same way they did prior to being banned than it is obvious, and
also obvious the people simply are not not in alignment with PI.

Again, they may the neatest, smartest most loving people on earth, they just are not a match for this particular community.

We usually do not reply and discuss banning members, because we have found it almost never
helps, and just keeps the focus on things unwanted , and attracts more of the same.

Besides if they want to they can still see everything on PI they just can not post, and they can also attract the page with rules explanations etc. Some will do so but do not believe this has anything to do with them, thus having a conversation usually creates those same results.

We have found that people who are in alignment wind up returning with ease and figuring it out for themselves or in many easy and simple ways for all.
A Question and answer about Advertising etc on PI

QUESTION

I have a question about advertising on/thru this site please ... I have had requests for friends and so far they have all had links to various sites ... i investigated one link and it led thru to a media group which supposedly has links to something that may not be legal, ... another friend has ads placed on his page for mobile phones ... could you please tell me what the attitude is towards this sort of marketing so that I understand how this site works ... i know that there was something about advertising on the signup pages but does this only refer to advertising on other peoples pages ???

many thanks

ANSWER

Thanks for joining PI and it's great to see you are an "Abe" fan!

We do NOT allow advertising on our PI forums, nor do we allow members to put advertising on anyone else's pages or use messaging for ads.

WE DO allow people to use a "sigfile" which is a simple " quote or saying with, or without a link, after they post or write.

People ARE allowed to put what they want d on their OWN personal pages
( unless it is not legal, etc ) and if they create their own group they can allow ads if they want to.

You may also create a blog post with an ad ,
however, this is limited to twice a week.

If a member uses PI blogs excessively for ads, and especially if they
are only using PI blogs, the blogs may be deleted, and possibly membership.

This is to avoid people who join simple to get PI and google traffic,
and to use the site for advertising purposes as their main intentions,
since blog posts show up on the main page and blog pages .

There are also some spammers who join just for this purpose and will automate 5 to 100
blogs a day full of ads, to the point where it appears that PI is all about advertising,
so we have decided to limit blogs in this way.

I usually never see ads because I do not belong to any groups that do so, for the most part.

We DO have ads on PI on the right hand side, but those are ads that a few sponsors pay for
and that's how we pay our fee's etc for running PI .

You can report any ads or spam (or something not legal or nice)
by using the link you used to ask this question

Also if someone posts something on your page you do not like just delete it by clicking the little
X mark on the right upper cornor of the post.

If a "friend" sends you ads, "defriend" them or block them and if it is spam, let us know as well!

on our forums we have our "rules" posted at the top

Welcome To PowerfulIntentions And Rules Of Conduct
http://www.powerfulintentions.org/forum/topics/welcome-to-powerfuli...

Hope this helps and Enjoy!!!!!
How to Delete Your PI Membership

If you want to leave PI and delete your account

1) Go to your MY PAGE

2) click "settings" on the upper right cornor of your page

3) on your "settings" page scroll to the very bottom and click the link that says

" Leave Powerful Intentions: Law of Attraction Community "

Please note we can not do this FOR you. We can Ban or suspend people
but we can not delete their accounts.
..
CHAT Questions about rules

someone messaged me about chat and chat rules and I thought the questions were good, so I want to put my reply here, for anyone else who may ask.

1) is chat moderated?

No, that would require someone being a mod 24/7 just for chat.
the chat history is only for a few hours worth of chat, sometimes more, sometimes less, than it just deletes itself, so some one would have to be checking it almost 24/7

2) what constututes getting someone banned from chat?

If a mod sees people chatting in such a way that is against PII regs,
abusive, mean, ads or spam, negative without purpose, just trying to drum up more of the same, etc
( example, i HATE THIS ONE AND THAT ONE AND GOVERNMENT , and on and on as others join in , not looking to pivot that vibration )

Or severe depression, talking of suicide etc., seeming obviously intoxicated and not making sense.

PI Mods can ban people from chat for a few hours up to 24 hours.

If repeated and severe, they will be banned from PI.

We do not do this often , it's not very common for the large numbers we have in this community.

If a member feels someone is being abusive in chat please do report it.

HOWEVER, please also include the chat session ( copy and paste ) and also the name and URL of the person they are reporting .

If the mod goes to chat to see what is going on and they do not see the chat anymore, nor is the person on, we they can not do very much. Again, chat history does delete itself.

Sometimes mods will delete a current chat if it seems "off" and especially if they have banned a member for a few hours, etc, which makes sense as why leave the chat there if it was offensive.

We do NOT tell people why they are banned from chat.

It is only temporary, and if they repeat the behavior they can get banned again.

We do not contact them because frankly it is too much work, usually turns into an
argument , and just does not very useful in the long run.

Most people DO know why they are banned, they just want to justify why they should be able to do whatever they do etc.
And if they really are not sure, they do ask or they read the rules, and do not repeat the behavior.

Please remember people can do PERSONAL CHATS or one on one etc, and others can recommend that as well.

This is also why we require members to be 18 and older, as we can not control or moderate personal chats

For Public PI chats which everyone can see, we like it to stick to PI guidelines
otherwise we start attracting people who or not in alignment with our guidelines.

When chats are in alignment with PI, than more people join who are in alignment with all of us!

Finally Remember that Chat is a great place to just have FUN!

Thanks for asking for clarification,

just a reminder to Everyone

If you are very depressed  PLEASE

get professional help.

EVERYONE is of extreme value !

However, people   can post anonymously here, as you know, We are not a website set up with professionals and experts to handle severe depression and we do not have control over who may post back and
give "advice".
