O.k., so Ive been having trouble getting into the "FEELING" place of particular desires...only because Ive been feeling so down about them and desperate to have them in my life. Im specifically talking about desiring a romantic relationship. I want it so much that I feel down because I dont have it right now, and when I see couples in public, it magnifies my pain, and tells me even more how single I really am...lol!

 

BUT

 

What about...lets say we are watching a funny movie. As we watch a funny movie, we are happy and laughing, correct? We are, at that moment, vibrating high and feeling really good!

 

Well, so, if we are able to feel really good by watching a funny movie, or anything that makes us genuinely happy in the moment, why can't we use THAT feeling at that very moment and quickly start thinking and visualizing our desire(s) at the same moment?

 

SO... what about this trick...as we watch the funny movie, while we are happy and laughing, we start visualizing (at the same time we are happy and laughing from the movie) our desires such as a romantic relationship or money etc...? Do you really think this trick would work or be just as effective as trying to feel the desire itself in a happy state directly?

I believe so. I cannot see the difference otherwise. I dont think the universe cares where the good happy feelings are coming from so as long as we are FEELING good.

 

I would like feedback on this. Tell me what you all think. I think its a great alternative for the people who are having trouble feeling happy about a particular desire.

That does sound like a good idea, and I think I'll try it.

The guy I'm really into and was seeing before he went to L.A. hasn't contacted me in a month. Last I talked to him, he told me his mom was dying of lung cancer, so I would understand if he was a bit too distracted to talk to me, but he could at least say SOMETHING, you know? Anyway, so I've been really bummed out about not talking to him and missing him and wondering about him, so I'll try this trick.

Also, I came into the forums looking for advice on this problem I have and this was the first post to come up! Super grateful to the Universe for that.
So David, at the times when im feeling down, lonely, jealous & envious, what do you recommend i do to get my feeling up and vibing better, especially when im out in public watching couples, and i dont have immediate access to a funny movie to help me?

Alex, the first step is recongnizing that you are feeling this way (which you are doing and this is EXCELLENT) and then knowing you must PIVOT. PIVOTING means getting to the best feeling thought you can once you identify that you are experiencing a negative feeling. To get to the better feeling thought you will have to try a few strategies and see which works.

The one that gets me there QUICKLY is a rampage of appreciation for anything and everything I can think of - I can do this ANYWHERE.

You could also look at the couple you see and turn that into a positive. Meaning begin thinking:

wow they look so in love, wouldn't it be nice if I found someone and we were that in love. They look like they are having so much fun. I know my soul mate is out there and he/she is coming to me now. I remember when I was in love and that feeling was incredible. We will be so in love, we will laugh, and just enjoy each other.

You can do this and know you are worthy. Most times love comes when we least expect it :)

But your real issue is about resistance. You want something all you have to do is allow it.

I myself had the opportunity of a relationship coming to me just like I asked but then I started to resist and I had to look inside myself and see what were my reasons for not wanting this. And then when I saw they were garbage I got back to allowing.

You should look at why you feel bad about having a relationship, is it because you don't feel worthy, is it because of a certain reason...whatever it is you have to get rid of that quality before it can come because with LOA when you want something and the work you do on getting your vibration matching that thing you want especially a relationship you will just naturally feel it and let it in.

You'd get so much closer to allowing this by changing the stories you tell.


This whole thing's awesome. :) It's exactly how I felt before and it gnawed on my cause I never believed I was "worthy" of being loved. He was the only one I was super open to, actually. To the point that I told him that I was super insecure and that I didn't think that I should be loved. He really tried to make me believe that it's not true and I really saw how much effort he put into it, but in the end, my negativity consumed me and I ended up pushing him so far away. I became so clingy and needy that I needed reassurance all the time. Needless to say, our relationship became very toxic. I realize now that all the negative beliefs I had about myself were all just over-thought and did not hold too much truth. Now, I regret it so much because his attraction for me really fell by the wayside. It's been 4 months since we broke up. It took me 3 months to be able to feel normal again, to regain the confidence that I lost.

In my desperation to get him back, one thing led to another, until I realized that my problems were all in my head - all this negative thought. I'm trying to fight it now though. I've been trying to stay positive about everything, but doubts would always come creeping in.

Is there any way to remove these doubts completely?

Here's the thing though - IN THE BEGINNING it appears you may TRICK yourself to FEEL A CERTAIN WAY but you are in essence TRAINING YOURSELF TO FEEL A CERTAIN WAY.....

So .. I'm thinking that in that moment of having a laugh .. feeling so good .. what better catalyst to use to launch a desire or give it a lift. :)

I had never really thought of it like this, but in essence, “ fake it till you make it, “ is just a form of training. Many books make out that you have to be feeling everything crazily in order to make things manifest, but I think this is trying too hard.  I for one, don’t have a particularly broad emotional range, so being crazily happy, or falling crazily in love for instance, is a bit alien for me.  It can also be hard to force yourself to feel a certain way just because a book says that you should. Better to ease yourself into alignment by doing something nice (like watching something funny).

I think this is what they call momentum. So when you are already in a good vibration it is easier to think good thoughts. 

The opposite is true as well. So when you are feeling angry or upset or any negative emotions it is best to stay away from creating anything new or thinking about your desire or visualizing.
