Although I may practice a specific form of Buddhism (Mahayana), we must stay focused on what makes Buddhism such a beautiful belief system, which is the unity amongst all forms of practice. Let us find comfort and guidance in the Four Noble Truths and solution in the Eightfold Path.

Hello all ..... I have always been interested in buddhist teaching and controlling the mind. Especially after I learnt from a buddhist monk that if a buddhist can control the mind, he can achieve anything. Delete Comment

As an SGI Buddhist, we need to follow in Daisaku's footsteps and continue his dream of peace. To surround ourselves with new friends and take responsibility in our community. To practice empathy and give others the hope that no matter what, they can become happy. To make a difference in someone's life. We are just finishing up the Gandhi, King, and Ikeda exhibition and it was awesome! The goal of the exhibit is to illustrate the men’s mentors and influences, their belief in mankind’s innate dignity, how each man was able to translate his principles into action, how they used nonviolence to bring about positive change and each man’s ability to remain true to his principles despite great adversity. It made a big impact on my life as well as everyone who saw it. We need to teach the young children about Victory over Violence and about PEACE......now.

for those who are not SGI ....SGI means Soka Gakkai International
It is a lay organisation of people who practise the form of buddhism founded by a japanese priest...called Nichiren.in the 13 century
our practise consists of chanting the invocation Nam Myo Ho Renge Kyo...
this is the title of the lotus sutra in ..chinese/japanese
we use an object of worship..a scroll with these signs on it

I hope i got it right!!!!!!!!!!

..nice to see so many buddhist brothers and sisters ...and especially ..from SGI...
it seems we do not get so much opportunies to exchange ideas with each other from the different traditions,schools...etc etc...
...this is a nice site for that to happen....when we also have the interest in the law of attraction as a common point of reference...and we don´t have to worry so much about which buddhist "hat" we have on today!!!!!!
