The National Geographic Channel has been showing a special on the exploration and scientific study of these caves where these massive and very amazing crystals are located.. It is a very interesting program and a must see if you are curious about the formation of these massive crystals. The caves where the crystals are located is very deep and the temperatures are so hot that scientists must wear special gear and can spend no more than thirty minutes at a time in the caves.
This program is a must see for crystal lovers. It is a totally scientific study, but very informative. It would be wonderful to see a metaphysical study done on these crystals!

Avalon Crystals has some nice moldavite crystals. Check out this page, scroll down to the Moldavite section and click on "go here" to see what is available.

You might want to watch for gem and mineral society shows in your area. They usually have some awesome moldavite specimens. I hope this helps.

I have been playing mine outside. I live in the country on the end of a dead end road. I am surrounded on three sides by woods. The fourth side is an open field.
Before I played I could hear birds and insects and the wind. I wondered how nature would react to the bowl since crystal comes from nature. None of the birds or insects stopped singing when I played it. A few small flying insects came and investigated it. A deer and her fawn walked out of the woods and grazed just like normal. The wind died down while I played and picked up again as soon as the bowl was quiet. It was a great experience.
I have not played mine inside yet.

Ahh...The crystal singing bowls are truly amazing. A friend of mine has a very large one. When she activates it, it sends a vibration through your entire body and the whole room vibrates. It is such a wonderful experience. Congratulations on your new treasure.

I just wanted to share that I just bought a singing crystal bowl. It is a 16" and it plays the note "A" (6th Chakra - 3rd eye).
I love it!
I unpacked it on my front porch and could hear it starting to sing as I manuvered it out of the box. Then, the wind blew across it and it sang some more. Then, I ran my hands around it to get a feeling of the crystals making it and it sang.
Then... oh my goodness ... I started running the mallet around the bowl. I have watched demonstrations of these bowls on youtube, but I was NOT prepared for the sound... the resonation ... the vibrations. It was awesome. It was cool. It was incredible.
So, to my crystal and stone loving friends, I encourage you that if you EVER have a chance to hear a singing crystal bowl sing, take full advantage of it.

I can't tell you how excited I am to find this group! I live near Lake Michigan and ever since I was a child I have loved collecting stones! When my friends were swimming and playing I sat on the shore going through tons and tons of stones choosing the "special" ones. I have always been able to feel their energy. Today I'm still dragging my children and my grandchildren to the beach to gone stone hunting. I've taught them to hold them, touch them, and really feel them. I have them scattered throughout my home to feel their energy and to feel connected to the earth. Glad to know there are others out there like me.....all these years I thought I was a little crazy.....lol!
I'd love to know more about crystals....especially as they relate to emotional healing.
