Comment by Curtis Rivers on March 3, 2011 at 12:09pm My vision board process (having identified my desire) is to begin away from the vision board somewhere quiet, where I close my eyes and imagine what it would be like to have, be or do the thing I seek. I try to get an overall 'feeling' for that thing.
Next, I go to magazines I've saved, or look out for magazines on my travels, which have images that match the desire and bring about that FEELING I just mentioned.
I scan the images and save them to my computer, and cut out the photo and put to one side.
I also use Google Images and trawl through page after page until I find something close to what I want.
The KEY here is that I use MULTIPLE photos for each desire. So for my next home, I have perhaps 15 photos, mainly from Country Living type magazines, each showing different aspects of the exterior, interior, gardens, ornaments etc.
Here's the cool bit. I add these 15 to 20 photos to my Vision Board Software, choose a few affirmations (i.e. 'I love my beautiful home', I love to relax in my garden', I am so grateful for my wonderful library') and then I add a musical score that makes me feel emotional (in a good way). I'm keen on John Barry themes like 'Out of Africa' and 'Somewhere In Time'!
When I run the software, the music fades in, as my various photos begin to appear before my eyes, zooming in and then morphing into the next shot, as matching affirmations slowly appear on the screen. It's a wonderful experience.
My future home has took form in my mind, it is no longer a mish-mash of different photos of different houses, but a complete home that I can walk into, unload the shopping, put the kettle on, go for a swim, whatever - all thanks to the software I'm using.
The software allows the vision board to be saved as a screensaver, or to be exported to your ipod, cell phone, MP4 player etc.
I recently invested in a pair of Virtual Glasses which are superb. I watch the vision board movies every single night before I sleep, and also during the day (usually early morning before I run, meditate, or work on my book). The glasses are like watching your immersive vision board on a 67 inch TV placed about 10 feet away from you!
That's the system I use LoveStarr - and it really is working like magic.
For your reference, I use the following:
(1) Vision Board Software (VBS) Just checked and you're in luck - it's currently half price (extended New Year offer, runs to March 11)
and
(2) Virtual Glasses - I use THESE but a cheaper pair is available HERE
.
If you prefer the more traditional route of meditating and imagining your future while in an altered state of consciousness (which is what I still do to address fleeting issues of health, cash flow, circumstance) then you'll find that the VBS and Virtual Glasses combo are very ef
