Belief is only a habit of thought. So the big question MIGHT be, so how do I
change my habit of thought? And we say the only way we KNOW that will
inspire you to change your habit of thought is when you finally HEAR us and
really GET it when we say -- the way you feel is dependent upon what you are
choosing. And when you really mean it when you say nothing is more important
than that I FEEL good, then those habits will change very quickly.

But as long as you are willing to do as your elders taught you and buck up,
keep a stiff upper lip and tolerate the negative emotions, then there is not
much likelihood that you are going to change your beliefs.

Personal experience: I've found that beliefs are very easy to replace with logic bridges, focus wheels, what if games, etc. It's surprising and satisfying to find that you really can just play with your thoughts and change all things that you feel and live. Saves a LOT on the therapy bills :-)

When your desire is very very strong,
your beliefs don't have much impact
against them. But if you don't have
strong desire, then your beliefs usually
carry the "tone" of what happens to
you.

Personal Note: When your desire is super strong, you can find yourself in the midst of receiving it, even though you don't believe it completely. These are called quantum leaps and they are the pits. I did one once. Took about six months to acclimate and all was well, but very very uncomfortable until my beliefs caught up with my reality. Now I start with my beliefs and just let things unfold from there. Much more fun!
Here's a rule of thumb that will help you: If you
believe that something is good and you do it, it
benefits you. If you believe that something is bad,
and you do it, it is a very detrimental experience.

Abe belief changing process

Here is the process, we can offer it too you in 30seconds.
Make a statement of desire "I WANT" , and what that automatically
does is pinpoint the particle that you are going to make bigger. It
might already be big and it might just be a particle but that
identifies what you want and it also alerts your guidance system. Two
very important functions .

Now that your guidance system is alerted, anything that is within you
or anything that will come to you , that is not now in harmony with
what you have said I WANT ….you will be notified of it.

As you are notified of it then you can simply release that thought
from your experience by focussing again upon you want. That is the
way you bridge or alter your beliefs.

You say I WANT that turns on your guidance system and you move
through life experience, you are sensitive to the way you feel
negative emotion, you pinpoint the conflict, you focus again upon
what you want and the conflict goes away.

That is the process for bridging beliefs or for changing the clump
of thoughts within you so that they all go together well. Until
eventually you come to believe that which you are wanting to believe,
you see

Now, does that worry you?

There are those who that would worry. They'd say " Abraham!! Your
talking about changing beliefs!!" "Do we really have the right to
alter those beliefs, are they not beliefs that have been carved in
granite or carved and set out for all to follow?"

No!! They are not!!

So you confirm your own beliefs again and again and again and again and again. That's why someone who believes in cancer can confirm that belief, or someone who believes in robbery can confirm that belief. So everything is a sort of confirmation of belief.

Abe........Do you know that the only thing that can ever hold you
back is your own limiting beliefs? Now, what is a limiting belief? A
limiting belief is a belief that contradicts your desire. That's it.

Personal Note: How to change your beliefs? Understand the process of creation firstly....listen to the Laws as explained by Abraham often in order to train your self talk...and do some focus wheels :-) DS
We want to help you today to realize what beliefs are most activated
within you. And we want to help you to realize that you have SO much
choice in what’s activated. But you have to make the choice and that’s
the thing that we see with so many of our physical friends. They don’t
make the choice. Whatever has been activated just sort of stays
activated. It’s like “Well I believed this before so I guess I should
believe it now.” Or, “I thought this way before, and I haven’t thought
about thinking about it differently so I guess I’ll just keep thinking
about it this way.” And we say, some of the things that you think don’t
serve you like physical decline, like shortage or lack of things, like -
it’s just the way I am or it’s just the way things are. In other words,
there are many thoughts that you’ve picked up along your physical trail,
that are ‘truthful’ thoughts because there are many who think them often
enough to manifest them and so then the statisticians record the data
and then they say “This is a truth”. But we say it’s only a truth
because people have been thnking them, people have been activating
them. You can make any truths you choose, your truths.

Well, can you feel how little leeway there is for the Universe to help
you out? In other words, you’re speaking what you believe to be true.
But when the truth doesn’t match the desire, it doesn’t serve you to
speak it, does it? And that’s a really important thing to begin to
realize.
