Becky,
In my short years on this planet I've learned very few things.
But one thing I have learned and that I hold on dearly to, is the fact that you can only do so much in a relationship. You can only give out so much love, trust, and compassion. Your partner HAS to return these gifts!! It sounds to me as if you are the only one loving in this relationship! What he is feeling isn't love, it's control! You said "No matter what I say or do, he keeps coming back like a bad vibe."
My love, and fellow powerful intentioner, YOU have to end it. YOU have to put your foot down and say "no more."
You deserve SO MUCH MORE!! You have to be strong and finalize this, otherwise you will keep expending your precious energy and love on someone who does not DESERVE it.
Just thoughts. I will be sending you strength today.

theres never any need to change anyone...it is possible to suggest to to others to change...and if they are caught up things tahat simply do not fit with you...then is best to part..not with agression or judgement...it is a loving gesture to move yourself out and onward...theres never a reason for others to affect us only if we give our source of inner well being from external sources...then we are driven by the tides of out there....not a great place to be...love is powerful and ever so beautiful, emo-tions are a huge wonderful part of us...its just best not to be lost in a negative expereince...we always have a choice...a...re-sponse-ability...theres no guilt with that word either its just a word! *smile*

Thanks Alison, I shall use your suggestion and use this counseling as a way out instead of marriage. I truly have no desire to marry this man. I just wished I could get him to accept that. As far as moving on, I have wanted to for the last 5 months. Have broken up with him only for him to come back and say things that would get me to try again. This time I want completely out. Just not sure how. I am not responsible for him yet I feel that I am. I really have to get over that and this I know. I need to be stronger this I know. Somehow it is easier to know what to do then doing. Again thanks for your comments.

Good morning Becky,
Thank you for sharing your struggles and concerns regarding your relationship. It certainly appears that it consumes so much of your valuable time and energy. Also, it is wonderful to note that you are trying counseling together....yet the fact that you have 'counted' how many more times you need to attend therapy is telling in and of itself.
I do not want to pass judgement on you or your partner, but I do want to comment that his ability to turn his 'transgressions' around and state that GOD allows him to sin is quite a statement about him and his beliefs. Additionally his ability to deny the truth of what his actions are saying is quite disconcerting.
Finally, you stated that you 'want out' of the relationship. So again, why not engage your therapist in this process and use those sessions as 'exit' counseling....vs.....'marriage' counseling. It is okay to move on and to find a partner with your same beliefs and it is okay for him to move on as well.
Surrender yourself to the process Becky....and although it will not be comfortable... recognize that you deserve LOVE....above all.
Remember, pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.

Here is a good one for you. I have been in a relationship that I have tried to end on a few occasions. He just doesn't want to let me go. No matter what I say or do, he keeps coming back like a bad vibe. Right now we are in counsling, however, I still feel that we were not meant to be together. The love I once felt, is fading. Reasons now. Our outlook on life differs greatly. He judges my beliefs including this Secret stuff saying its evil, from the devil. I look at life as a joy something to grab hold of and experience all. He sees evil all around him. So that is one and there are others. They do revolve around mostly religions beliefs. He is a bible thumper. I really hate to use that term, but in this case it really does describe him. I have told him on several occasions that if he truly wants to walk in God's perfect will then do it. However, he sins all the times. When I point this out to him, he says God allows it. To me that is a double standard. So for me what do I do now? How can I get out of this relationship? We have been in counsling for 4 weeks now and we have 9 left. I really don't see where things are going to change. My beliefs are mine and he doesn't share them and I don't share his either. Help.
