Katrina Kids & Elderly Project Fund- 50% of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the purchasing of school supplies, shoes, under garment and daily necessities for the Elderly in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Laini Kuumba Ngoma Troupe, Inc. - another 25% of the proceeds will be donated to "LKNT" help us to continue offering free classes and free community performances to school age youth during and after-school.

People's Village Cultural Arts Center - a total of 25% will be donated to the rebuilding project. People's Village Cultural Arts Center was the home base cultural center for "Laini Kuumba Ngoma Troupe, Ballet Jahfena Youth Ensemble and the People's Village Freedom Shule. All of which were destroyed August 29, during Hurricane Katrina 2005.

I ask my spirit guides to heal me
and guide me to ways to bring in more money
to be guided to people with like minded ideas, people to assist with my projects, where to move to soon as well

Searcher - I loved reading your story! That's a wonderful one to share. Your guides are really working well with you. As idahowritermom says, we do occasionally set up blocks, and maybe it's due to fear, but once you let that part go, just watch the signs as you have, but you will notice them in your life every day. I think occasionally it's so amazing, it's just hard to believe how they work in our lives - in the physical sense and other ways. They are magical moments for me. I love it!

What an incredible post! Your connection with your guides is strong. We all tend to go through times when we set up blocks, but with your knowledge of your guides, it should not be hard to see their signs. It is easy to get caught up in "life stuff." Don't sweat it. Let the energy flow. Just allow. Let us know your progress.

In additon to my previous post there has been in my life always an old lady - sweet, gentle, authorative, caring, teaching, understanding etc. In each emotional period of my life, when I have felt alone and maybe needed someone to care there she was. To others she appears as what she is - an old lady, to me they have always been something more. Sometimes they come into my life for a short time - maybe only the length of a conversation, some for many years. But always when I have needed guidance. Looking back they all have had similar looks. I feel at this moment in time I am in need of guidance, I am at a crossroads now and perhaps need help. Now I am more 'aware' i tend to block things more so I am going to have to make a conscious effort to be open and 'see' what is probably right under my nose.

Hi all and blessings.
Even though I have been a member of P.I. for a while I have never really looked at all the forums that are here. This morning despite deciding I was not going on the puter this morning I switched it on and got settled in for a session.
I have known about guides for years but never really connected with mine. A year ago whilst doing a guided meditation I saw a group of people on a beach, these people invited me into their circle as one of them and greeted me like an old friend. They were very protective towards me. Each person had on a linen tunic, their skin was bronzed and so smooth and their hair was soft and white. They spoke gently and calmly and told me I was one of them but was not ready to join them yet, they would be with me always. I left them and came out of the meditation.
Previously, a few months before this meditation I had met a woman who had appearred old - this had been in a hospital waiting room, she was a doddery old woman when the nurse came to her, unsure of what she was to do. But when I spoke to her she glowed and had an ethereal quality to her being. Her skin was smooth and her hair white and she was gentle. She told me that I was a good woman and she could see I was a good carer to my husband and that no matter what was going to be the outcome I would be strong. She said she knew how much how did for him and I did it out of love not duty. Then the nurse came for her and she walked away a confused, little doddery old lady. My hubby asked me who was my new friend and I had to reply I had no idea, never met her before but she onviously knew me from somewhere.
My hubby passed over a few months later. Recently I had the opportunity to see a woman who channels your guides. Before I got the question half out I was told yes she had been one of my guides and yes the people in the circle were my guides as well.
I was also told I was one of them and had chosen to keep coming back to earth for a reason, apparently I am the "child" of the group and I can be very frustrating to them - here the channeler rolled her eyes and said they were laughing as I never listened to the advice they were trying to give me. They are putting something into my path to make my life easier while I am in my last incarnation - I just have to look out for it. In the past I have had to concentrate on caring for other people and allowed myself to be neglectful of my needs. This resulted in me nearly dying, but I knew that I was being protected and it was something I had to go through. Now I am very mindful of signs and feelings I get. I know two of my guides names and I have many more. I feeled blessed that they are around me.

Hi SunCatcher! You have never "lost" your guides, so finding them is not the issue. They are and have always been with you and have walked with you throughout your journey. You sound like a really positive person. They way to be aware and to communicate with your guides and to get to know them is to talk to them. It could be out loud or in your mind. Either way, it's all good. Ask them to reveal themselves to you in some way, be it with a sign of some sort that you can recognize as such or a feeling. If you really listen, you can hear them, most of the time inside your head. They are that little voice inside that talks to you. Ask them their name or any other question and then be silent. Meditation is a great way to communicate. Tell your ego to take a night off while you meditate so there is no self doubt. It takes some longer than others, but it will happen. For myself, sometimes I will ask my guide a question and before I have gotten it all the way out, I have my answer. It is really cool. Just today, in fact, I received the name of my second guide. He would not let me be or finish my sentence until I said his name twice. They can be persistent. Please let us know how you do.
