I agree with what idahowritermom has posted. it is all about listening which is all it is and it is hard. Meditating too is a huggeee part of it for me. Since doing so when I hear things that stand out to me i take them literally, like hearing the same word a lot or seeing the same number. I take these things and i see how they can be applied to a situation or question i have been having. These to me are signs from my guide josie.

Yes, I believe your right. I have that voice and listen to it all the time. Sometimes I will not take the advice given to me and pay the price. I believe it also has to do with my upbringing that makes it harder for me to except what the voice is telling me. But that's another story which is very hard for me to go into with you and this site in general. I have trust issues and hope to overcome that in myself as well. The process of discovering your guides is both easy and not so easy.  When I first started out with this group (2-3 years ago), I wanted a quick and easy "how-to" manual and speak and hear my guide right then.  Kat Osborne (the one who started this group) gave me a start, but the rest was up to me.  So I will pass on what I have learned (and yes, I do communicate with my guide - most of the time).

 

The easy part is to listen.  The hard part is to listen.  That's it.  Really.  It is that nudge you get when faced with a decision.  It's that voice in your head giving you advise.  It's that uncomfortable feeling or that moment of elation.  Your connection with source as well as the voice of your guide. 

 

Listening is hard to do when bombarded with external stimuli.  Down time is crucial to stilling the mind.   Rickey, we all have guides and angels surrounding us at all time. They are anxious to have us hear them. They are here to help.  It's easy, though, to overlook the signs.  Signs they continue to give until we see them. 

 

Each day ask your guide to give you a sign of their presence and then make it your attention to look for the details - newspapers, billboards, what someone says.  It's all there.  We just need to be patient with ourselves and allow for set backs, because we are retraining our focus.  

 

Ask.  You will get your answer.

Well, this is all really new to me folks! I hope to learn and make friends here also! I want to find my spirit guide as soon as I'm allowed. I'm 54 so hope that this can be a chance to read and learn what I need to know. I may already have a spirit guide but just not sure! I also believe in Gods and hope to draw closer them! I SO want to meet my spirit guide.  The "church" filled me up with so many "dangerous" beliefs - I'm watching them crumble, but sometimes they seem very stubborn and creep in to scare me all over again....

 

any suggestions?
