"Having it All" by John Assaraf is good. It explains the RAS (Reticular Activation System) which is what causes people to fear their own success. Bob Proctor, in his work calls it the Terror Barrier. Both give techniques to recognize it and move past it.

The steps that the secret breaks down are very basic, there's actually more to it than that. The step "receive" simply means be ready to accept what you've asked for when it comes. The reason for this is that people have an innate fear of change and success, even if they don't feel it outward. Many have had what they are looking for come there way only to back down at the last second. You are probably still on the "believe" stage. Make sure that you aren't trying to imagine ways for it to come to you.

Typically the receive part comes with some divine inspiration that you need to do something. Always listen to this. It will lead you in the direction that you want to go.

I was wondering If you can answer this, On the 3rd step, it says to receive, one must put the desire out there and wait for your order to come, but do you still visualize your desire everyday? I was confused with that part. Does the receiving just mean have patience and know it will happen? I hope this isn't a silly question!

This is the part that's hard, is the patience part!! I am constantly visualizing on what I want and making mind cinemas with seeing what I want!!!

I love the Secret.. have found though that we need to move beyond the base level chakra in manifesting so we don't get stuck in the gimmeess.. like little children in a candy store! ...Then we learn to true Secrets of manifestation on a deeper soul level.. and the stuff becomes just stuff... it's REALLY living in a state of Grace that is the Secret.. the million happy moments making up a happy life!!Love you,Sandybear
