Mala Beads
Hi all,
I've just received a pair of rosewood mala beads as a graduation present. They are lovely.
The only thing is that I do not know how to use them properly, sort of. They are the 108 beaded necklace kind. I have been using them, but informally. As in, I use the beads, and recite in my mind, "thank you," this morning, and it is already showing positive results.
What is the formal way of using mala beads?

A Mala is used to keep track of chanting mantras. ( somewhat like a rosary I guess) Most mantras are chanted 108 times/
