This is my drawing of my little Kazi. I do not have him anymore. A while back I wrote a poem for Sam and this is my charcoal drawing of my beautiful Kazi. I miss him.

Marie:

A long time ago, a friend of mine, an African American Muslim convert, told me of what people do in his faith when dealing with sorrow. He told me this after my grandfather had died.

He said that when you think of that person (place or thing), place something sweet in your mouth, to recall the sweetness of life. He said that that would forever change the way you thought of that person.

Malik, I miss you as well my old friend.

That's a drawing? It looks like a black and white photograph. Did you draw that? Whom ever draw it is very good artist.

Oh, Kazi is gorgeous and so is your awesome drawing! And JE, that is such a sweet thought ;-)

This is the Kazi you had to give away when you were ill, and then were unable to retrieve him when you got well, right? Byron Katie talked to Oprah about the loss of her beloved pet, Sophie, and said, "She hits your mind and love happens."

This is a quote from Katie's book, A Thousand Names For Joy:
I have a friend who, after doing inquiry [The Work] sincerely for a number of years, came to understand that the world is a reflection of mind. She was married to a man who was the love of her life, and one day, while they were sitting on the couch, he had a heart attack and died in her arms. After the first shock and the tears, she began looking for grief, and there was none. For weeks she kept looking for grief, because her friends told her that grief was a necessary part of the healing process. And all she felt was a completeness: that there was nothing of him that she'd had while he was physically with her that she didn't have now.

She told me that every time a sad thought about him appeared, she would immediately ask, "Is it true?" and see the turnaround, which washed away the sadness and replaced it with what was truer. "He was my best friend; I have no one to talk to now" became "I am my best friend; I have me to talk to now." "I'll miss his wisdom" became "I don't miss his wisdom"; there was no way she could miss it; because she was that wisdom. Everything she thought she'd had in him she could find in herself; there was no difference. And because he turned out to be her, he couldn't die. Without the story of life and death [love and loss,] she said, there was just love. He was always with her.

JE--That is wonderful. I am going to do that.

Kris- Yes, I drew that. I feel it needs a little work but it is a pretty true representation.

Penne-- That was a beautiful thought-poem. I am going to center on that. I know love is here.

Kazi was so fluffy, and hoppity-hop. I was his human Mama...truly, the first love he knew.

Thank you. Once when I was visualizing like crazy and meditating a lot....I kept saying "I love you Kazi." Because law of attraction and metaphysics states you must act as if you already have that which you desire. It was cool but almost bizarre. When I was looking at my Kazi drawing intensely and saying "I love you Kazi. You are my beautiful cat." etc... All of a sudden it appeared that Kazi jumped out of the picture. But energetically anything can happen and it did. It was wild. Then once I was sitting on the floor I saw an energetic version of Kazi jump right into the living room--from the patio door that goes outdoors.

My desire and his was to be together again. I believe it will come to be.

OK thanks everyone. I wish I knew how to post his picture in my blog. That was my intention.

Marie:

I too, have visualized in this way. I do it several times daily with my BlackBerry and a few photos that I carry of C. I can feel the energy as I thank the Universe for the love she has given me, and will give to me in the future.

Great stuff.

Much love and attraction,

John Eire
