Powerful Intentions: Law of Attraction Community

I know the secret and how well it has worked in my life however as I sit day after day in my struggling retail business it is getting extremely difficult to stay positive.

How do I keep out of the "bad collective energy" that is so abundant in our times right now. I come in so positive each day but as each day progresses and I have $0 coming in it gets harder and harder. It is also very lonely sitting by myself all day, everyday. I'm afraid I'm going to lose my business.

I realize there are so many worse off than me and I don't want to give my issues too much attention but I feel stuck. Advice?

This is just one of those times where you have to completely stay focused on what you're creating and what you want.

Things can get bad, and they can stare you in the face, but no matter how bad it seems or what people are saying, you have to stay in control of yourself. Everything you think, and feel, is a choice that you made. You choose what thoughts you have, and what feelings you have. You have to really put forth your power and choose what you're going to be thinking, feeling, saying, and doing.

It doesn't matter what the economical situation in any part of the world is, you create the abundance you have in your life. Even if the economy is booming and everyone is generally happy about the cash flow in the country, the only reason that you have that abundance is because you created it!

And I know it's really easy for someone to just sit back and say "nahh don't worry, be happy" when I'm not going through the same thing, but really, that's all it takes. It's just a matter of choice, and the will power to use it. All it comes down to is whether you're going to USE your power, or not, no matter what the situation is. Hehe, I've been through these type of things myself, so not all of this is just theoretical thoughts I've had while I sit comfortably without worry.

You just have to realize you're strong, and that you gotta use that strength.

BUT I do suggest, if you have free time on your hands, or if you're alone, try a mantra. I know people say to sit down, get quiet, close your eyes, and focus intensely on a visualization or a thought, but a mantra is extremely powerful.

I would try something like this, "I am so happy and grateful now that I have a great abundance of money in my life" or ANYTHING really, make your own!

Just repeat that thought, over and over, you don't have to do anything other than that. You don't have to try and feel it, or make it passionate, or anything, just repeat it over and over and over. And I really mean that. Make it non-stop(that is, of course your thoughts and concentration are needed elsewhere!)

Pretty soon, that simple repeated thought will start feeling stronger, and stronger, and it'll realign you with what you want to be manifesting, and you'll feel relief, and peace. I say this because that's what it does for me! It takes almost zero effort. Just repeat it over and over, like a drum beat, rhythmic, over and over. And that thought will generate its own passion, its own feeling, and it will become very very powerful.

So try that, and stay strong!

Thank you for the advice. It's always nice to be reminded of what I know to be true. I will use your mantra suggestion starting now!

I have been in a similar mind set as yours, looking at the lack and not the abundance. I have been unemployed since January and know very well just how poorly the economy is doing right now. This site is helping me regain my focus and is giving me some insentive on getting out of my situation. I have been reading Chris Dines e-book on Power, Love, & Abundance, and it is giving me all sorts of new ways of thinking and acting. At this point do I (a) grab for anything no matter what the pay, or (b) attract something I really desire, something that will not only pay the bills but will help develop me as a person. Either way, I need to focus on the abundance that is out there and not just on the lack. The way I look at it, the economy is simply a man made devise created out of our need for things. If the economy goes belly up, and even if I lose everything materially, my value as a person does not change. As Chris Dines says, if one resource dries up, another on will surface. We just need to keep our eyes open for new opportunities and stay focused on the positive.

Thank you so much James, what you say is so true. I have to stop focusing on the lack. My life is abundant in so many ways.

I wish you all the best in your search. I will check out the e-book also.

Yeah, Ive been having problems as well. I had been doing great for about the last year, then recently, I just lost my focus, I cant seem to get back to the place of being able to believe or even focus long enough on things that I want. I spend so much effort pushing doubt away I dont have energy left to focus on my wants. I almost feel like I am back at square one in all this.
I need to get my focus back and get positive again.

I have been spending a lot of time reading different things in various groups on this site. I also wrote down my life as I want it in all areas and read it many times a day. I have also used the advice from above and sometimes just chant a positive saying over and over. Believe it or not, it has helped me get through the days less negatively and I don't feel drained.

Don't give up! You know how wonderful life is.

I've been reading a book called "The Ultimate Secrets of Total Self-Confidence" by Dr. Robert Anthony and I find parts of it to be invaluable. The title of the book is misleading, most of it is about law of attraction and the way the mind works. When you read it, you just *know* Rhonda has read it too, in fact, the chapters are called "Secrets", not chapters :)

It explains bits about the conscious and the subconscious in very simple terms and it has really opened my eyes. I was just highlighting "Secret 8" this morning and I found myself highlighting most of the chapter. I know this is something I will be referring to every day, it's that strong.

Have a wonderful Monday!!

Lisa

I had another thought. Do you have Internet access at this job? Can you bring a laptop that has a wireless card? You could always use the time to start a blog and stick up some Google Adsense ads to generate some revenue. I'm starting one tonight, so I thought I'd mention it to you. I'm stuck on a few ideas about what to call it, so I think I'll take a walk and let the right answer come to me.

PS And whatever you do, don't watch or read the news, it makes things 1948204 times worse! Read LOA books or websites instead, it really helps :D

Much love xxx

I agree. I can hear CNN in the background and CNN ♥'s to play up on the dramatic elements.

A lot of people questioned several networks for their journalistic integrity when following the stock crashes a few weeks ago.

Or if that's not an option become more selective of the various news organizations that you want to learn about current events from. The best thing to do is to stay away whenever Ali Velshi and other financial analysts are on air. And stay away from CNBC as that network primarily focuses on money matters, especially the economy.

i think of it this way...i get very excited when i hear news of this nature. Now before you send me an angry email let me explain ;)

How long have we known that the current system is unsustainable and propped up with smoke and mirrors?
How long have we know this system supports only a few at the top and "abuses" all the rest?
How long have we agreed to this victim game of economics?
How long have we been wanting and asking for a new system ?
Now that millions are waking up to the law of attraction and choosing not to be victims we are now creating a new system.

And guess what...LOA...we are getting what we asked for..

the collapse of he old system and the creation of a new one.

Yes the transition might be difficult for many...based on the individual resistance or fear of the new or letting go of the old.
Many of us are so used to a certian way of doing things or have spend many years/decades of our life learning to survive in the current system and now all that no longer works. That can be hard to let go of...but now...even harder to hang onto.

We are going towards a new wonderful and abundant system....keep focused on that and enjoy the rapids.

It is easy to feel stuck and everyone does from time to time. You are not alone and know that life is not constant positiveness...Just allot yourself a few minutes to obsess and move on to positive things. carol stanley author of For Kids 59.99&Over

Stop watching the TV news. Stop reading articles about how bad the economy is, and how hard it has been on so many people already.

That doesn't mean sticking your head in the sand and pretending that nothing is happening in the wider world. It just means deciding that while you are aware of what is going on in the world, you choose not to be inundated by it.

I don't know what you sell, but is there some small service you could add to your repertoire that would be of great help to your customers--a little something extra? Personal shopping, gift wrap, shipping? If you sell something aimed at women, how about a service that helps husbands pick out the right gift (or vice versa)? I just finished reading Napoleon Hill and W. Clement Stone's Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude, and one thing they discussed that caught my attention was how various entrepreneurs and inventors were hugely successful where others were not simply because they "added something more." And many times, it was something so small nobody had thought of it before, or had dismissed it as trivial.

And here's another thing I thought I'd pitch your way; it popped into my head as I was reading your post:

Are you allowed to put free-standing signs on the sidewalk in front of your business? Or if not, maybe you could hang one in the front window? Because I got the mental picture of a chalkboard or whiteboard that had a new, inspiring quote written on it every day for passers-by to see, whether they came into your store or not. It would help other people; by reading the quote they might feel a little more inspired. And it would help you, because the process of looking for quotes and choosing them and writing them on the board would keep you focused on positive things.

Also, one meditation I've always liked to do when I'm stressed out and feel like disaster is imminent is talking to my Future Self--the one who has lived through everything I am going through and came out of it just fine (and funny, but she always does). I'll pour out everything that scares me, and everything that's wrong--I'll just let those feelings flow, not trying to suppress them--and when I'm done she laughs at me for being so silly and tells me that everything is going to be fine. I imagine her as I would like to be in a year, or two years, or five years, or twenty years down the line, thriving and happy and successful, and able to look back with no regrets. Once I've finished my sob-fest and she's quit laughing at me, I ask for advice, and she gives it, and I listen. And her advice, even if it doesn't always make sense at the time, always turns out to be good. And when I'm confronted with another problem, I'll get quiet and ask, "How did my Future Self handle this?" and the answer appears.

And of course by visualizing and experiencing my Future Self who is happy, and who looks back at the present as a minor obstacle, I am bringing her into my present consciousness and manifesting her into being--I am becoming her.

I don't know if any of this will help, but good luck to you.
