Powerful Intentions: Law of Attraction Community

Hi Everyone,

I hope this isn't off-topic. First of all, I want to reassure all of you about something. I love my body and I am healthy and beautiful inside and out. I'm 5'6, a size 12, around 145 lbs, and have about 25% body fat. Not extremely healthy, but it's still pretty decent for a Southerner ;) . Anyway, before I graduated this past Spring I was a size 10 and wore this beautiful black dress underneath my graduation gown. It is a very long, A-line haulter top dress with silver studs that form around the contour of the top part of the dress. It is a very classy dress and I was able to manifest it at a very low price.

Now, I have been invited to attend a very wonderful party. The dress will fit perfectly for the theme, not to mention my normal size is a size 10. I have a new job, a wonderful outlook on life, and I'm manifesting great things. However, I want to manifest becoming healthier and fitting back into a size 10. Not just for the party, but for the simple fact that size 10 is my normal size before I graduated and before I hit a small pothole on my road to greatness. Most of my jeans are a size 10, and right now I only have about 5 pairs of size 12 pants. This size is my very comfortable size and I would like to reach it again, especially before the party.

This past week I have been exercising without going overboard (1 hour to 1 1/2 hours and resting every other day), eating healthy (fruits, vegetables, white meat, etc), drinking more water (only drinking 1 soda if I seriously need caffine to stay awake), eating a little bit of chocolate or junk food, and I have the dress sitting on my desk that has a mirror attached to it. I do basic exercises: sit-ups, reverse sit-ups, side-crunches, stretches, push-ups, etc. along with fun exercises such as Hispanic Dancing and martial arts (black belt in Kempo). It's hard to do these exercises since it's snowing outside (I mean, heavy snow), but I find a way.

Now, I am trying to use The Secret to help manifest my goal of losing one dress size in 25 days (I started about a week ago). I want to do it in a very healthy way. I can not stand the thought of starving myself or vomiting. I believe in eating healthy and moving around more (though my job is seditary and there are no gyms nearby and I can't drive yet). I walk 1/2 mile 5 days a week to the bus stop as well (though not as much since the bus is cancelled or delayed when there's a lot of snow and I end up having to leave an hour earlier with my dad taking me to work).

I want to do this in a healthy manner. I believe I can achieve this and even create healthy habits to maintain the weight I had for at least 4 years in college. Does this sound too crazy or unhealthy to you? Do you have any tips? I am looking for healthy and less expensive tips such as exercise reigmens, exercise tips, food tips, etc., so please resist the urge to make posts about unnatural pills or unrealistic diets. I mean, they may work for you, but I prefer something different. Meditation tips and such are welcomed as well.

No crazy diet, but depending on your eating habits, there are several widgets and online tools that keep track of your calorie intake. Perhaps seeing that over the course of a week can help you maintain or improve your eating choices.

I wish you well! =D

Congrats on having the desire to lose weight. Having that motivation increases the likelihood of success. Instead of focusing on losing 10 or 15 pounds think about being a size 10. One of the things to also realize is that the food that you have the most cravings for are the ones that your body has the most sensitivity to. I would suggest totally eliminating whatever it is you crave to eat and to replace it with fresh whole foods i.e. fruits or vegetables. Continue to visualize how you would feel, act and respond to life as a size 10. It is possible. Good luck

Does this thread apply to pants sizes too. I don't do dresses. Ha ha! I'm glad you posted this, because I started loosing my nice six pack I worked all summer on. I haven't had any time to go to the gym. Work is hectic and I get home at 10:00 every night and I leave the house at 8:00 am in the morning. My job has long hours.

You are right about staying away from soda. All carbonated beverages add mass to us even if we drink diet sodas. I started to drink Vitamin Water. It is very good and only has about 150 calories for a big bottle about the size of Snapple. I do drink a lot of coffee and tea though. I love those two beverages and I can't stop drinking them.

I'm glad you are not starving yourself. Eating too few calories can make your metabolism very slow.

Occasionally, I wear a kilt to the nite club. The girls love it. They lift the skirt and peek underneath, then they say "you're not supposed to wear underwear under the kilt".

Wait...are you Scottish. I lived in England for 6 months and seriously I was crushing on the Scottish guys and their accent. I lived in Sunderland near Newcastle (a.k.a. Geordie Land, they have a slightly more challenging accent and dialect than most Brits) and when I visited Edinburgh, it automatically became my favorite city (over Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Toronto, etc.). It was during the day in Fall 2007 where the Scots were having a Rugby game against Italy, so a lot of them were wearing kilts. I knew what a kilt was b/c I'm American (and b/c a few of my ancestors came from Scotland). However, one of my friends from Hong Kong started giggling and said to me, "Oh! Why are they wearing my school uniform?!" I had to explain to her what a kilt was and told her she should not ask them why they are wearing her school uniform ;). I went up to the castle there and got my picture taken with a bagpipe player dressed in kilt and garb. They have weddings in that castle! It's pretty cool :).

Hi Modest Treasure. No, I'm not Scottish in the least. I am German. I like Celtic things though. I've been to England a few times and Ireland once. But I've never been to Scotland. I want to go there. It sounds nice.

Cheers
Kris

Ah! I met a German girl named Francesca while I was visiting Montreal. She was such a sweet lady and we were both staying at the same hostel. We also wanted to visit the same sights, so we traveled together and b/c she made friends with Pierre--a native Quebecoise and hostel staffer--we got a free tour of Mont Royale and Old Montreal. I have so many friends who want to drive on the Autobahn (sp?) but Francesca told me that many of the roads are called autobahn (sp?).

I loved Scotland. England was great as well, but I haven't visited Ireland yet. I'm part German as well (Americans, especially those from the Appalachia Mountains, are mixed with many countries and many races).

Your friend is right. There are a few autobahns in Germany and yes, you spelled it correctly. "Autobahn" is a name for any roadway with no traffic lights and no speed limit. Sometimes they recommend you slow down if a turn in the road and they make recommend for you to go a certain speed.

Montreal is beautiful. I have only been there two times, but I love it. The people there are nice too.
