- Amazing, sorry I have been out of touch for awhile. I read your post and I am glad that you have seen the power of Nam Myoho Renge Kyo. In Buddhism we must understand that this is not magic and that the Mystic Law lies within us. Once we understand this and believe in this the universe will begin to manifest our desires. No matter what our prays will be answerd, but you must realize that this does not happen overnight, nor will it necessarily happen in this life time. In regards to chanting for long periods of time focusing on what we want to change in our lives or maybe even what we need and want, yes this does help to manfest the universe to move in that direction. This chanting for long periods is called "diamoku" and the more we do the strong we become and the deeper our faith becomes that Nam Myoho Renge Kyo does indeed work in our llive. On this site there is a Buddhism group, which is SGI-USA, Soka Gakki International.This is our Buddist organization and I think that you will find it very helpful. I would highly recommend that you attend a meeting in your area. If you are not sure about a location, let me know and I will assist you in finding one close to you. It is a great benefit for you to have encountered this Buddism and believe me you will have your prayers answered. Remember we all have Karma from the past that we may or maynot know of, and chanting will bring all of this to surface be it bad orgood. You have to continue to chant no matter what and you willbreak through all of the bad and the sun will shine in your life. Good Luck!
