You don't need to control what you think at every moment. What you need to do is be aware of negative thoughts, accept them instead of resisting them, and affirm what you desire. It's like rowing a boat. Don't worry about opposing currents. Acknowledge them and when they calm down, just row in the direction you desire. When an opposing current comes, surrender, accept it, and then, row to the desired place.
