- About Me:
- At the end of June I sold all of my belongings, and got on a plane, one way to Australia. After following the signs and my instincts, I have found myself working at a backpackers. Its really hard to put in words all that I have learnt so far, every day I discover some thing new about myself or the world. Its such an interesting time to be alive right now, and every day I am meeting people on their own spiritual paths.
After being here for just over a month, I know for a fact that I will never again work in a job that I don't love, for people I don't get along with, to buy stuff that I don't need. I have met so many people who have left their old lives behind, in order to devote themselves to discovering their destiny.
The message that I have for the world now is this: You are not stuck. You do not have the right to blame your partner, children, family or friends for YOU not taking responsibility for yourself. I heard time and time again back home that it felt necessary to work to make money, so that children can be taken care of. Do you want to teach your children the same materialistic crap that you were taught, or do you want to break that cycle? Do you want to teach your children that having a nice car, home etc is more important than radiating love and kindness?
Thats not to mean that you cant have those things, as well as be happy and loving, but if I had to choose one, I know what I would pick.
That is my truth. On this site I see that many people ARE focussed on materialistic things, and that is ok with me :-) As long as there is happiness there also. My truth doesn't have to be any one elses truth. The trick to life is learning, and researching, really looking into what your truth is. What do YOU think? What do YOU believe? It may be easier to just go along with what your parents and society taught you to be true, but I personally don't think that there is where joy lives.
