"Peace is not something you attain.
It is what you are.
Peace is at the essence of this moment.
Everything in this moment
is made of this peace.
So then we can conclude
that you are the doorway to peace.
You, as you are in this moment
are the doorway to peace.
It is just a matter of relaxing
that incessant search…

Hello everyone, so it's two days before the start of a brand new month, a brand new opportunity to make some changes and build a powerful future but we mustn't forget to reflect on the month that just passed us by or is about to pass us by. If I had to give a summary of what I learned over the past 3 or so weeks, the obvious answer would be that it's important to develop and attitude of gratitude. Now some of you may think that I'm beating the horse well beyond the point of rigor mortis and…Continue

So I feel as though I need to be a little transparent with all of you for a minute here. Now it's been about three weeks since I started this journal and while I feel as though it's helped me shift my perspective a little bit, there are times when I still worry about things; I know that I shouldn't really be dwelling on those thoughts and emotions because that only brings more thoughts like them to my mind and causes those things to happen even faster but it's…Continue

Good evening everyone, how was your day today? Another bright, shiny and warm day here in Dickinson, and more reasons to be grateful. I just got paid for working over the weekend, which means I earned two paychecks, which is always, always a blessing. Then I went out and ate at my favorite restaurant in town, this awesome Japanese steakhouse called Sakura - imagine eating there whenever I wanted without any worries. I know that day is coming very soon, when I no longer have to have these…Continue

Hello everyone, so today kicks off Week 3 of my Gratitude Journal and today, more random thoughts and revelations have come to my mind. Now this past week was nice it but it didn't feel as though it yielded quite as much as my first week of doing this so, as painful as it is to admit, there were times when I entertained the thought of taking a break from this for a while. But then another Bible verse came to me: Luke 9:62 which goes "No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit…Continue

Good evening everyone, so today officially completes Week Two of my gratitude journal and I'm grateful for having made it this far. Nothing especially momentous happened this week but I still have my health, sanity and all five of my senses intact so that's more than enough cause for praise in my book. Been enjoying my day off from work by re-watching The Secret, watching Inglourious Basterds again and going out for some Mexican food at a local joint near my apartment. It was a very…Continue

Good evening everyone; so it just occurred to me that this is entry number 12 on my gratitude blog with means that I've done this for nearly 2 weeks now! That I've developed the discipline to do anything consistently for that length of time is enough for me to be grateful. And even though my circumstances haven't dramatically changed in that length, my attitude definitely has. I feel like I'm getting back to that place back in the days of my youth where anything and everything was a source a…Continue

I've been what I refer to as a drifter for all my years here. I've have had some of the greatest times and some great company while drifting. I've experienced joy, love, hurt, anger, and pretty much every spectrum of emotion. Emotions are to feel. It seems to me every one wants to feel the better ones.. The happy ones. Dont get me wrong they are great but... without knowing sorrow you will never be truly happy. With out knowing joy, you would not know pain.
We live in the I…Continue

"In the path of awareness,
you learn to stop paying attention
to the content of thoughts
and begin to rest your attention
on the awareness that is aware of thoughts.
Which is to say
attention falls back onto itself.
Awareness relaxes into itself.
You surrender that action
of contracting awareness onto…

Day 10 of doing this and I keep having more and more epiphanies as to the importance of gratitude when it comes to living The Secret and the Law of Attraction. It's no coincidence that the chapter related to gratitude in The Secret is one of the key chapters in that book because what I've discovered is that it's truly the bedrock on which all the other principles outlined in that book are built. Now I've been living out - or at least trying to live out - The Secret ever since I…Continue

Day 9 of this gratitude journal and a thought has occurred to me: is it possible to still be grateful when everything seems to be going wrong? Well yesterday I had several opportunities to contemplate that question. It all started when I misplaced my phone charger; called every place that I'd walked to that night and nobody claimed to have seen it. Then my roommate wanted to borrow one of my DVD's only for us to discover that the particular movie he wanted to watch went missing, along with…Continue
