from being involved with the personal self

and back towards the essence of what you are.



Most people's attention is completely

involved with the personal 'me' experience.

You cannot just stop thinking

and then you will experience silence.

That is just the absence of thinking.

In meditation,

relax your attention

If you are doing something

and thinking about doing something else,

then no matter how pleasant the task is,

you will not be fulfilled.

Often other people make us doubt who we are.  Often other people lead our lives for us.  Often we're people that can't say NO!

How much does it matter what people think?  Do you care or do you care too much?  How many times have you heard someone say 'I dont care what people think of me.' When it's written all over their face that they really do.

So why not just say what we think and do what we want?  Why do we change our actions to suit…

the thoughts and feelings that arise.



Thinking is happening,

you grab hold of the thoughts,

you attach yourself to the thoughts

and it becomes a personal experience

and separation and conflict are born.

When we were small children, we were taught everything from the main role models in our life. It's not until our cognitive thought processes mature and develop that we can start to really think for ourselves. We are told a lot of things that are very helpful in keeping us safe and growing strong like, "Eat your vegetables."…
