Well, we survived the birthday party, almost 20 kids at the bowling alley. The whole reason I wanted to have the party outside of the house was that 3 our of the last 5 parties ended in horrendous rainstorms. I really did not want my house invaded by all of these children. So, on Friday,w hile I was driving home, all I could think about was the song by Journey "Don't stop Believing", just the refrain..."Don't stop believing...hold onto that feeling". If you see the previous blog, the 13th was a pretty good day. So, after the party, I packed up the car and was waiting for the last parent to pick up the last child, and what comes on the overhead at the bowling alley "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey. I send my mother, mother in law, brother, sister and a couple of other relatives to my house, stop for something for dinner. As I pull into the driveway, there are 8 people standing in my driveway, apparently there was some type of police raid several houses down, and "crash", the loudest clap of thunder I have heard in a long time. Thank you Universe! I just couldn't imagine the police trying to negotiate my street (I live on the corner of a NARROW street) with 20 some odd cars parked in the street and then it rained for HOURS on top of that. I didn't have all those children in my house again...THANK YOU UNIVERSE!!! All the kids had a wonderful time, it cost me less than hosting it at home would have and my house remained in one piece.
