I am in the process of elliminating certain proteins out of my diet--ie. meats! I have already eliminated red meat and sausages, etc. and pork products and turkey products. I am still trying to cut down on the chicken products and will probably just end up being a pescitarian. I know you would prefer me to go all the way, but my grandma will never give up fish and shellfish. She grew up on it and expects it often. Besides they ate fish and shellfish back in prehistoric times and in the Holy texts and that is good enough for me. I eat alternative soy and vegetable products and lots and lots of fruits and veges and beans. I look forward to learning the raw method as well. I only wish my grandma could afford a better pair of dentures to truly enjoy the taste of raw fruits and veges. I hate that I have to steam them down to soft for her to be able to chew them and I do not have an income source otherwise I would buy a new pair for her. Her Social Security is not enough to afford the luxury of replacing her worn out dentures so I do my best to ensure she gets a well balanced and healthy diet.
