Last night, my husband was scheduled to work from 2pm to 9pm. He is a non-LOA, although I am working on it.
Yesterday was a bit hectic. The kids had graduated in karate from yellow belts to orange belts. As incentive, the husband promised them these special karate patches from the Dojo Association. So, he finnaly bought them the patches on Wednesday and they have been begging for me to sew them on. So my to do list included getting these patches on before they went to class yesterday. Well, I get them on with about 20 minutes to spare. (One of my AM intentions was to let my husband sleep in a little, although I think I am going to curb that intention in the future because now he is expecting it. It is his birthday weekend so I decided to cut him some slack). We get to class, come home, my mother in law came over for brunch ( I like my mother in law and her friend...We did nothing but laugh for a solid hour, and then she took the kids out so I could have some peace and quiet) He left for work, the kids came home and my mother in law left. So, I was again left alone with the kids.
My son was being a miserable, cranky, argumentative person. He definately behaves better for my husband than me. So, I was sitting on the couch, really wishing that my husband was only working until 7:00. Not only did I want to spend time with him, I really needed releif from dealing with this 6 year old little boy. About 6:15 he sends me a text message. "I am getting off at 7". I replied back to him "I know". He asks "How", I don't answer.
So he comes home, deals with the boy and we spend some time together. He looks at me and says, " Did you call my boss and ask to let me go at 7?" I said to him, "No, I asked my boss to let you go at 7". So he says, "What does Dr._____ have to do with me leaving at 7?" (I don't want to use the name of my boss at the clinic). I said, "No, my real boss. Sami (my daughter) and I asked the Universe if you could come home and deal with Stephen because we were tired of him...and the Universe always sends us what we really want!"
