Last night was a monumental event in our house. After patiently waiting MONTHS, my daughter lost her first tooth, 5 months after her twin brother.
A little background..she is a late to bed, late to rise kind of gal. If she and her father get up before 9 am on the weekends, that it "too early". Even on the weekends, I still get up early, so that I can enjoy a few moments of quiet before the chaos of the day with two six year olds begins.
I came downstairs and poured myself a cup of coffee and sat down to enjoy the moment. Not 20 minutes after I got up, a screech of joy came from upstairs, followed by a thud of someones bare feet hitting the hardwood floor, followed by the pitter patter of feet running across the floor as she is going to inform her brother that the Tooth Fairy came last night.
What a wonderful way to start the morning. To be caught up in the excitement of a six year old. I closed my eyes and remembered my own excitement at that age. "Mommy," she informed me, "before the Tooth Fairy left, she gave me a kiss on the cheek". My eyes flew open as she said this. As I was remembering when I was little and my sister and I would say the same things about the Tooth Fairy or Santa Claus, these words came out of her mouth. What a sign that she and I were in perfect vibrational alignment.
I couldn't wait to share this with my PI friends. May your days bring you as much happiness as a six year old with her first dollars from the Tooth Fairy.
