We should probably start this out with, what is a Dream Circle? Well, remember your favorite comic strips with the little bubble above the character’s head either holding their thoughts or dreams. Well, your Dream Circle should be your dreams of what you wish to become, the items you want in your life, the life you wish to have.
But unfortunately, most tend to shrink their Dream Circle to match their income. They think limiting thoughts by feeling they can’t have it, can’t achieve it, don’t make enough money……and the list goes on.
What can you do to reverse this? One way is increase your income to match your Dream Circle. Sounds easy, right? But before you can do this, you need to clear out any negative thoughts or feelings that are holding you back. Whether you decide to start a business on the side or take on some extra work, your success will depend on your beliefs.
An excellent book I would recommend is by Shakti Gawain
, “Creative Visualization: Use the Power of Your Imagination to Create What You Want in Your Life”. This was written back in 1978, before all the rage with The Secret and Law of Attraction. She gets down to the simple nuts and bolts with several exercises to help you on your way to create the life you want and deserve. One of her exercises is called a Treasure Map, what we would know today as a Vision Board. Same concept applies.
She teaches, “Your Treasure Map should show you in your ideal scene, with your goal fully realized……….show the situation in it’s ideal, complete form, as if it already exists…..don’t show anything negative or undesirable.”
There’s lots of types of Treasure Map’s you can create too. Build one for health, your weight or physical condition, self-image and beauty, relationships, job or career, creativity, family and friends, travel and so on. The point is to have fun and to make your dream circle HUGE! In time, many of your dreams will be realized and your income will have grown to match them. It is truly possible to create the life you’ve always wanted.
As one of my favorite people once said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” ~Eleanor Roosevelt. How big is your Dream Circle?
