Hi-i!
Just thought it would be fun to start 2012 with a blog post. :O)
I've been writing a lot of fantasy material, recently, for development of the Twinkli. My business partner, Liz, and I have come up with something that will empower girls as they have fun levitating a sparkly glitter ball called the Winkli. There's video now at the IndieGoGo crowdfunding project location.
Liz is doing the heavy lifting (funny way to put it). Getting the thing to levitate was causing a lot of problems. Now, it's doing its intended thing, which is a blessed relief, indeed! :P
But what's been the most fun for me has been attracting the fantasy language and stories!
Everything revolves around a fairy princess called Zoe. By fairy princess, we seem to mean a human girl highly esteemed by members of the fairy realm. The whole creative process is filled with mystery, and even I can't explain how I know much of what I know, here.
For example, there's a point at which human size fairies without wings are in a field with ponies, while tiny fairies with wings look on from the periphery. There's forest behind the tiny fairies. Well, game warmups begin and tiny fairies fly into the field with bowls of lemonade.
I just came up with this on a whim. I knew they couldn't fly in with glasses of lemonade. That would have looked all wrong. How would they hold the glasses straight. So bowls made sense. And it was so fun & quirky! Fine.
Well, in a later installment, I have a fairy everyone calls Baby blow a bubble, slice it in half, and pour lemonade into it. As I wrote this, I was high on the magical imagery. But it was only after Liz edited and it was published that it occured to me that I had already described lemonade in bowls. And now I had described where these bows had come from!
But I hadn't consciously gone out to write about the origin of the bowls of lemonade that had been flown out. I only realized I had done this after the fact! :P
Wow!
The human mind. You gotta love it! :O)
HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE! :D
Sunshine & Blessings,
Giovani

SPECIAL UPDATE **** SPECIAL UPDATE **** SPECIAL UPDATE **** SPECIAL UPDATE ****
Thank you, so much, for the huge reception this blog post has received on PI, making it the #2 blog on the whole site!
:D
Now, Jem is excited about supporting the Twinkli project in some way, but was confused when she arrived at IndieGoGo. So, following, is a message to help straighten things out. She surely won't be the only one to find the set-up confusing, so here's the note for everyone to see and learn from;
Remember, to be active on the project (other than cutting and pasting the link), it really helps to actually JOIN INDIEGOGO. It's free, as the message will explain.

Hi Jem,
Thanks for checking things outt! :O)
I know going there's a little confusing. But you made it! That's the right place: the Twinkly project at IndieGoGo. It's a crowdfunding site. Joining is 100% free.
And there are lots of ways of supporting someone there.
I love the Twinkli and wand and all the accessories and I think you and any little girl you'd like to gift will love them too, Jem. So I definitely encourage you to make a generous financial contribution to the project. Look at the blue column on the right to see what "perks" you can get as my personal THANK YOU for your gift. :O)
However, there are other ways you can support the project, as well. Money is just ONE very helpful way -- not the only way.
Whether you make a financial contribution or not, please look under the video, and use the Share Tools to help our message reach further! Click the heart so you'll get updates right in your email account. And you can "Like" us on Facebook, and so on.
Also, near the top, you'll see some blue tabs. Look over past Updates by clicking that tab. They're a LOT of fun, Jem. And click the Comments tab to say hi, share your feelings about the project, and make suggestions to improve the Twinkli experience!
Hope that makes things clearer, Jem. :O)

Hey Md,
Thanks for the Imagination app! :O)
It really is a beautiful kaleidoscopc bit of play. There really IS something magical and very relaxing about it. It's nice that that you have some influence on the image and that it builds moment by moment.
I definitely would encourage people to play with it.
Good find, Md! :D

Hi!
There is this interactive program called imagination. It is so much fun even for uncreative people like me. Once you get on it, you use your mouse to draw all these beautiful patterns of colorful lines. Try it.
Md,
Thanks for trying to make good. :O)
Now, let's talk fairy princess, Dude! :D
Hahaha!

Hey Md,
Thanks for checking-out Jacqueline Ngo's inspiring art! :O)
She's having so much fun with art at this early age. She's gonna have quite a fan club by the time she's an adult. I wish her - & I know you do too, Md - a wonderful lifetime career.
Something else to be glad about! (Don't get me started on that Glad Game!)
Hahaha! ;O)

Aww, she is cute as a button. It's inspiring. Whereas most people go after the conventional route, she is very unique in her talents.
Hi Jem,
Thanks for the fairy!!! :D
You know, I am really glad that it's so easy now to learn about wonderful things kids are doing and to be inspired, these days. YouTube alone is helping kids realize that people do great things for each other every single day!
Woo-hoo!
&, you were a tremendous help, Jem! I had never heard of Jacqueline Ngo, who at six years of age was painting beautiful upbeat and gorgeously colorful scenes of everyday life and childhood fantasy! Seeing that moved both Liz & me so much, that we instituted a series of updates titled GIRL UP! featuring girls active in their community. These girls are really bringing sunshine into places that need it and deserve to be celebrated!
I hope everyone who blogs will consider adding something like that to what they do - even if it's just a few times per year. It certainly feels good to me to do this. I can just imagine - say - a grandparent or teacher seeing this and sharing it with children they're fond of! Some kids are bound to think, "I didn't know kids could do that!"
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jem for setting all that off by starting that discussion! :O)
I highly recommend looking into it if you haven't already (and revisiting it if you're getting nostalgic).

And Jem consider joining IndieGoGo. Your sensitivity to these things should make you feel right at home! (Remember to favor the Twinkli project and comment, if you do!)
