What's holding you back? What's keeping you from achieving your goals and manifesting your dreams? The answer could be one or all these three things that trip most people up.
1. Making Excuses
Don't place blame. Don't justify. Don't try to explain - even to yourself, when things go wrong. Things happen and it's part of life. If something goes wrong that could of been prevented, learn from this and move on. Excuses only keep you a victim, putting yourself at the mercy of outside forces. When you believe that life is the "luck of the draw" you are not taking responsibly for your own life. Wouldn't you rather be in the driver's seat?
2. Fearing Failure
Failure is not a road block. It's just a kink in the road. Every failure can be a learning experience. The only thing that you could do wrong, is to not learn from them. Nobody's perfect, so consider the lesson, come up with a new plan and go at it again.
3. Beating Yourself Up
Many of the things we tell ourselves are destructive. We call ourselves, dumb, lazy or a train wreck. Imagine if you talked to your best friend the way you talk to yourself. Do you think she would be your friend for long? So why are you talking this way to yourself? Remember, you are your best friend! You will have to live with yourself for the rest of your life, so you better start liking - no, loving yourself.
For those of you who grew up in a dysfunctional household or got bullied on the playground or an abusive spouse - how do you feel when someone talks to you the way you talk to yourself? Why would you put up with that kind of abuse from yourself?
We all mess up. Beating yourself up isn't going to make you smarter the next time around. Analyzing the situation and noting the mistake will. Furthermore, beating yourself up, pushes you further out of alignment with your goals. Your negative self talk lowers your vibration and you develop deserve issues. Nothing good ever comes from anything negative.
