Please read this if you want to learn more about how love can make things you want to happen, to happen more in your life, inspire you, motivate you, make your reality come more alive, and make you feel more alive.
It suddenly hit me, sitting in a bedroom painted blue, in a city in the center-east part of Mexico.
As I wrote a letter to someone other than the girl I was there to see, the inspiration hit me. My heart was torn. I was listening to the song There Is, by a band called Boxcar Racer. Part of the lyrics to this song go, “That there’s someone out there who feels just like me, there is.”
I thought, ‘Yeah, There Is.’ Then I thought, what if I shared what I’ve been through? At first the idea was a way to be able to connect with other people that had been through similar experiences. I wanted to express who I was and I wanted to connect with more people who could relate.
But it was painful.
I had the need for a sense of connection.
I thought, That There’s Someone Out There Who Feels Just Like Me. Sounds like a great title.
In just a few days I would be soaring over the skies at night looking down at the glitter of street lights, coming back to the United States. It was a potential love lost. I’d put a lot of thought into it and I thought we’d be great.
But sometimes those moments of pain, suffering, loss, they can actually lead to something greater. When you learn to turn those into stepping stones that help you achieve a greater reality, a sense of being, and you discover who you are, your purpose, then you can find happiness, security, and even true love.
The only way anything can have real life is when you add love to it.
Is there something you’ve wanted and you don’t have it yet? Is there a project you’re working on and it just doesn’t seem to get done? Add love to it.
To do this, live in love.
This means that when you think of someone, even your worse enemy, send them love. When you send them love, you will get love back to you.
When you buy food, love the person serving you. Then love your food.
When you have a project you’re working on, practice sending it love.
When you experience frustration, love it because it’s there to serve you.
When you love, reality comes alive.
My idea for the book I’m working on, I had worked on it from time to time and the inspiration for it was out of pain and a need for connection. I wanted to express and share my story with the world out of that need.
But when I changed the purpose and added the element of helping other people by sharing my experience, (which is giving, which is Love), my motivation came alive.
Now this project is moving along better than ever. I no longer feel stuck. When I go to work on it, I feel a sense of the effortlessness I’ve heard so much about.
It’s taken some challenges to get to this point and the desire is no longer out of need.
So whatever you do, and in everything you do, find a way to not only express yourself but also to love.
When you send out love, love will come to you.
Love will make everything happen, and make you and everything around you to come alive.
*God I love your smile*
