I like how things are aligning today.
For quite a few years now, after failing numerous times at making money online with network marketing and money making programs, I just got burned out.
I was working two+ jobs at a time to survive.
But as I worked, and tried making money online with those programs and businesses, I realized it wasn't what I really wanted. Of course, I was already burned out from working the dead-end blue collar jobs.
I didn't really feel like I fit in with the 'money making' community either.
I started to really think about what motivates me, and what makes me feel good:
Creativity - Coffee Shops - Aliens - Law of Attraction - Music - Art
as well as investing and a bit of politics, but those come second.
Don't get me wrong, I still aim to make money, but it's more of an afterthought.
Going after what makes me feel good is more important.
I decided to create an entirely new website that is centered around a lot of the things I enjoy most, and my personal goals.
Since then, it's interesting to see a lot of synchronicity that's coming along with it.
One of the guys I follow online is named Mike Klingler and he's been sharing thoughts about happiness and pursuing what makes you feel happy. He shared this video yesterday:
(It's about an hour long)
This video goes right along with a blog article I wrote yesterday too, about how I will treat my employees when I open my coffee shop. What I want to do is very similar.
I haven't been sharing this on Facebook either, other than just a few friends. So Mike doesn't know.
Then today he updates his status saying this:
The statement here does express a lot of my motivation to start the new website, because I wanted a place where I could connect with like-minded friends. Most of the people I know aren't even into LOA, or the kind of music I'm into, or anything else. I wanted to talk the topics I really get excited about, the ones that light me up!
I don't hide them away, as suggested in the status above because people will think I'm crazy, I just don't talk about things simply because it's boring talking with people about it when they're not interested.
Most of the people I know love to do their own thing which include activities I'm not interested in, or party it up. I've never been a party guy though, and on rare occasion I may go to a bar with a couple friends.
But my intention again with the new site is just to connect with cool people that share the same interests. So it's awesome to see the status update from Mike.
Here is his page if you would like to learn more about him. He does market online. I am not affiliated with Mike btw: http://www.facebook.com/mikeklinglerfans
So a few minutes later, I see an update on The Secret Facebook page:
I'm feeling good about this new path I'm taking, one that's based and aligned on who I am and what I want. I'm not taking the approach that I want to make money. That's something that's been engrained into my mind after pursuing money making opportunities for so long. So I'm working on clearing that.
