Happy Autumnal Equinox!
I celebrated the end of summer with probably my last swim in the ocean of the season (at my
I had such fun body surfing and floating in the waves -- delighting in the magnificence of the ocean.
It was truly glorious!

Hibiscus Syriacus (Rose of Sharon)
The energy of the Hibiscus Syriacus is that of delighting in our magnificence -- our own and that of those around us.
We are all magnificent beings. What joy it is to bask in our own magnificence and even to flaunt it just a little bit -- just think what a shame it would be if peacocks kept their magnificent feathers folded up.
The energy of the Hibiscus Syriacus reminds me of the beauty and fun of those big old production numbers in which the women wore long, flowing shirts that would flare out so beautifully as they twirled and whirled around the stage.
So, the energy of the hibiscus reminds us of our magnificence and the glory of sharing that magnificence with the world.
Isn't that fun!
And, The Hibiscus Syriacus is the national flower of South Korea, even mentioned lovingly in their national anthem (quite different from the military pride so often evoked in national anthems!!)
Like the hibiscus flower, I delight in my own magnificence and the magnificence of others.
