"How do I have more fun?" a woman asked Abraham, who explained how we can choose to focus on what we like, rather than what we don't like. The word DWELL is a good way to get over the concept's weirdness. You get more of whatever you dwell on. So, dwell on what you like.
Well, I try to dwell on silly things. Sunny things. I like some of the kids' stuff on YouTube. I also like things like Easy Listening music (especially instrumentals)--I intend to raid everything on YouTube! Just give me time! ;o) I like some of the optical illusions, too. (Check out the pattern play in some of My Videos on my Profile Page--Click "Show All.")
Here's a real contrast to the above. . . .
And, here's a little bit of real silliness! This puts a huge smile on my face!
It's funny, because I'm not a snow or wintery kind of person. However, I have a certain Swiss Alps fantasy. It's about picnicking on the shoulder of a mountain, where there's still warm weather and green grass, but you've got a few out-croppings of snow, here and there. For some reason, I feel it so romantic to be able to prop a bottle of wine into the snow to chill and enjoy later in the meal!
That's really got nothing to do with yodelling, but that yodelling girl makes me think of that fantasy! And I love the energy she delivers. Obviously, yodelling involves deep sustained breathing, while engaging the voicebox. I doubt anyone can yodell, while sustaining even a hint of sadness!
As the song says, "These are a few of my favorite things!"
