Hello my friends,
i've noticed a new way to calm my unruly child. I started a new routine that when he becomes unbearable I sit him in my lap and I rub his head. He calms down immediately. I took it a step a further. I started rubbing his back, his tommy his face his arms his legs his feet....he just watched me. Dead in my arms, he was completely relaxed.
What struck me odd is that my child has been more of a fan of his "own" space. He enjoys giving out free hugs often but only when it's "his" idea.
But he just sat there in my lap watching me, enjoying the body rub.
And if you can keep a toddler calm for thirty consecutive minutes is an accompllishment in itself.
I even caught his drooling : )
