What about God?

I believe if God makes you feel good thats great!
I am not as hung up on others agreeing with my concept of God.

We have Christians, Musilms, Jews and even some Buddhists like me :)

The concept does not interfere with any religous teachings I have read.

The bible says that you can move mountains with the faith of a mustard seed.
Law of Attraction is the 'How To" manual

I could go into verses that say heaven is within you etc. But I think you see the point.

You sow what you reap is from the Bible. If you are always negative that is what you will reap.
Law of Attraction is the flip side of that :)

I grew up going to private, Christian schools and my father is a Babtist Missionary currently in Latin America. I love the things of Jesus.

I judge any religion by how well it serves you. In short, by results.

I know many great people from many religions.

Hi Daimene,

How about replacing the word "Universe" with the word "God".... does it make more sense now? That's how i do it. Every time I watch the movie and hear the word Universe I replace it with God :)
As for what the Bible says, try reading Joseph Murphy's books. It is amazing how he explains things from the Bible and what they mean. I am Christian and for most of my life I have been living believing God is somewhere up there and I should be afraid of Him, etc.I even imagined Him as some sort of a person, you know, face, arms, body.... But after I read Murphy's books I was "wow! how on earth did I not get it till now??!!" :) Start with "the power of your subconscious mind" - this book is one of the best things that can happen to you, believe me!

This is a great forum for your questions. I'm not a prof. mind you, though I did a Lot of studying regarding Religion. I was raised Catholic. Adopted and moved to Baptist. Moved into my own as a Pentacostal. Studied Jewish, Buddist, Satanic, African Rituals and many more. Learned Latin and Greek to better understand the Bible and even questioned those with "the Answer" they proclaimed. During this time, I've taught Sunday school, counseled young adults, etc.. In conclusion, my experience and answer(s) to you...is this: if you believe in God, then He has 'everyhing' to do with it! You were taught, ..."seek and ye shall find". What does that mean to you. Yes. If you believe He is Your Guide, follow Him. THROUGH YOU! He does speak to you and introduces you to open doors. This is not a 'question' of: we Know better then God. It's a question of: "Are YOU listening. What about what the Bible says? The New Testament will explain the path your on if you understand what it is you're seeking. The Bible can be taken Literally, Philosophicall, Analytically, Hypothetically, Logistically, Whimsically.....it depends on the person who claims this Book and how he / she internalizes it. (please forgive the spelling! No spell check here!!! lol) In closing, you are here....now....for a reason. WELCOME!!!! We are here to assist. interesting discussion, make me want to share also

I'm a muslim, and I also really believe in GOD. You know what makes me surprised when I saw THE SECRET movie and read THE SECRET book, that most of the idea really get along with what I have been learning in my religion.

James Ray said that U can name The Universe with other many names, but it is for sure The Universe is something that bigger from ourselves and even THE BIGGEST. The Universe have NO LIMIT, It can give U everything U wish. It's a greatest sourse of energy. In my believe, The Universe is what I call "GOD" that have NO limitation. I trust Him, He could give me everything I asked, with note that I TRUST Him, I believe Him without any doubt.

In Life, we have free willling and free choice to do things. God will grant Ur wish as long as U do efforts and use ur energy to reach it. "Try is a key word". I dunno about other religions, but in my belive, our obligation is to try our best to reach something, and the fate will get along with it. Like if we do effort to be succes (one of it by doing our best to implement LOA) then our fate will become a success person in future. But because we don't know what exactly our future in real, so now, just have faith on it, and God will help us, for sure.

About Ur question Do you think we know better what is good for ourselves, not God? the answer is GOD KNOW OURSELVES better because His knowledge have no limitation. How about us ? We are still keep learning and digging to look what best for ourselves, so YES, we should ask for GOD's guiding.

Thanks Allah I did find a brother of my religion on this forum. I too was wondering if I am going astray, but the things do match as described in our scriptures, no where it says you dont have to admit, the supreme, in fact the main foundation is based on the unseen, and the powerfull, the judge!

Thank You so much for your opinions! I'm going for sure to think deeply about all you've said and about other more opinion that sure will come. God is everythingto me, His promises kept me alive through all obstacles, and sure He will guide me through the long journey of discovering the TRUTH. If I have more questions, I'll share them, and count on your help and elucidation ;)

I grew up in the Christian religion. My parents always attended church and my mother still does. I lived that life but that is not what I believe any longer. I don't think there is any one religion that is the "RIGHT" and "ONLY" way. I believe we are all GOD. We are all pieces of Source Energy. Everything is of great importance from the tiny ant to the gigantic elephant the the humans who love to watch them. WE are all here for the joy of it all.

I do believe that it is wrong to judge any other person or idea. I take most of my information from a group of non-physicals called Abraham! They are amazing, fun and brilliant! Here is what I think they might say here:

It's All about cookies!

You understand the game of inclusion relative to some things.

Pretend that you're standing in front of a cookie counter, and there are many kinds of cookies there --just about every kind you've ever heard of is represented in this magnificent bakery.

When you stand there, inclusion comes natural to you doesn't it. You say, 'Well I'd like one of those and I'd like one of those.' You don't say, 'Oh, look at those icky peanut butter cookies.' You don't say, 'I worry that those peanut butter cookies are going to take over the counter.' You don't say, 'We'd better get rid of those peanut butter cookies because you know how they spread. If we don't nip it in the bud, they will take over.'

In other words, you don't play the game of exclusion when you're talking about cookies, and what we would like you to understand is it's all about cookies.

You live in a land of contrast because contrast is essential to decision. But if you will become includers of what you do want rather than excluders of what you don't want, you'll purify [not contradict] your Energy. And when you begin to line up your Energy, you will be amazed at how fast the Universe responds to you.

Instant manifestations will become a daily occurrence for you when you, yourself, are not contradicting your own vibrational desires.

It is funny how our "words" are so limiting and sometimes make it hard for us to communicate ideas.

I always see the "Universe" as everything physical, the Earth, the planets,outerspace. And "God" for me is the Spiritual World which embraces the physical world/Universe.

In our Universe we are limited by our physical bodies and we experience Contrasts, good and bad, light and dark, health and sickness, and most of all we perceive ourselves to be separate individuals.

God on the other hand is the Spiritual, it is all of us souls combined, we are God, we are one. In God we experience no contrasts only Oneness, only LOVE, only Peace and happiness.

In our Physical Universe the Law of Attraction is important because we can attract good or bad, but most of us "remember" God so we want to attract abundance, love, happiness, health and eventually Oneness with God.

We can use the LOA to bring good things to ourselves (or bad things !) but we can bypass the law of attraction at any time and appeal directly to God who only has goodness, and only wants happiness and love for us. So to me LOA is a wonderful law to know and apply on earth, and in this Universe but it doesnt mean that we cannot still pray to God ...and praying to God we dont have to be in a high vibrating place, because GOD is all powerful, all knowing, all loving.

But I can see that there is a question of Semantics, for some people the word God and Universe mean the same thing, some people even use the word Energy to mean God. God for me is "us" as spirit, and the Universe is just where we separate into billions of souls and where we reside when we come to earth to have a "physical" experience.

This is a really deep question.....

How do I start? For me personally, I was baptized a Catholic but there are things about my religion and countless others that I agree and disagree with.....and I've come to this conclusion, I now have a faith not attached to any specific religion, my faith - is in my heart and soul it is a place in me where I believe my purpose in this existence is defined.....

I believe the Bible in its many forms, is a guide written by a man to remember all that is so that the layman has purpose.....Because we have all taken life for granted - for some, the bible keeps us grounded

For me, it was a way to review some of the greatest moments in history and to learn from them.....All Bibles, in their many forms, come back to basic fundamentals in a person's life, for me, the simplicity of THE SECRET IS MY BIBLE.....

It is in this simplicity that I found my faith in writing - it is not different from the teaching of my catholic faith when I was a little girl - WHERE LOVE & GOD were one.....Over the years however, that same catholic faith brought me chaos and doubt because it is said that if we stray from that particular belief - we have strayed from God!

My faith tells me differently, my faith tells me that this book is written by the perception of a man, who we know can and will interpret the simplest phrase a million different ways - my faith now lies in my heart, where it is safe, where I have grown and where my God lies - I know I am of God and through this power I AM THE PERFECTION OF LIFE - I AM MAGNIFICENT.....

For me I have found a place for my faith to call home - throughout my entire existence and of all that I have learned through our history and science - I found peace in my mind - I found a platform where life in its entirety can exist and yet I still have control of my sole purpose - TO LIVE TO LOVE TO RECEIVE - AND MORE IMPORTANTLY TO GIVE - AND IT IS IN ITS GRACE I KNOW I AM ALIVE!

I use to ponder at the thought - HOW THIS WORLD CONTINUES TO EXIST - I USE TO WONDER WHO SUFFERED MORE - THOSE WHO DIED IN WAR OR THOSE WHO LIVED THROUGH IT - AND I USED TO PONDER ON WHAT I ACTUALLY BELIEVED - I KNOW NOW THAT LIFE SHOULD NOT BE LIVED IN VAIN - Regardless of where we may find ourselves, and all the predictions that were every made about the world as we know, WE HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE THINGS ONE POSTIVE THOUGHT AT A TIME......

I knew in my heart I wasn't alone, and it's nice to have a place to come home too!

Hi Daimene, you know when I went to the book store to look for the dvd the clerk said to me, "I hope you find what you are looking for" I thought that was an odd thing to say. I just saw Oprah, or parts of Oprah that day and thought I would check it out. When I watched the dvd I thought, "well, that is what the Bible says anyway. what is the big deal? I Love Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I believe He is all things, and I have the best time when I am feeling Him in me, and me in Him. We are All energy, the scientific world has proved that. So when does ones energy begin and another end? Never, if you close your eyes and imagine your energy field and God's energy field and then step into each others and through each others, the feeling is So Great, it sends chills just telling you about it.
