What "Religion" would The Secret be classified under?

-the Secret isn't a religion. Religion lyes on a revealed truth, a philosophy rests on a intentionally discovered truth. Religion is given by a superior being, God, A philosophy is looked for by a person. The secret is a philosophic position

The Secret isn't a 'religion' and yet there may be many 'religions' that practice what is shared in The Secret. The Unity Church comes to mind for one.

By the way... it's certainly okay for you to not belong to any religion... just like it's okay to not belong to any political party or any particular groups of any kind. ;-)

Hi Mike,
Use all that energy and use it build yourself. Read more, there is a trillion books out there from centuries ago, all telling the same story as the Secret, which helps strengthen your will as you start to appreciate this has been here with us for all time. Joesph Campbell (incredible mythologist) explains religion and gave me an understanding of it so I could be more understanding of its believers. But as suggested by other, this is a life style, and is all consuming and is wonderfully rewarding to me personally, which makes me a better community member, and a carer of the global village. Enjoy your life.

Pfft I can't even begin to put LOA into a box and stuff it into some religious category. The laws of the Universe are everywhere whether ppl want to acknowledge them or not. I love just BEING and like you said "living the Secret everyday"

Hello to you MIke,

I am just wondering why you are so keen on classifying "the Secret"as a religion?

Religions are made by people.....The secret just gives ways to open your heart, ask , beleieve or better said, know and accept what already is !

that's got nothing to do with religion I think !)

Be grateful that this law of attraction has been revealed to you through the secret....it's not anything new, it's been there always and it always will be !

You might call it the religion of the heart...,cause you have to feel it to let it be !

I think maybe he's wondering because lots of traditional religions put God in the driver's seat and we have to obey laws, take what is given to us, beg and pray for good, etc, and the Secret kind of puts all of that into perspective and says that we can have whatever it is that we want and that WE are in control. So a lot of people who are religious and like their religions say that the LOA and living this way is going against God. ?? Not sure, but that might be why.??

I don't get into organized religion because to me religion is a personal thing between me and God, and I honestly don't know how an entire group of people could believe the same things in regard to God, the afterlife, how we got here, why we are here, etc, but I think probably the closest (I could be wrong here) would be Unity churches.
