Powerful Intentions: Law of Attraction Community

I am not sure if this topic was done already, but if it has can someone provide me a link with where a discussion about this mayor not have occurred. This forum grew rather quickly and there are a lot of posts to sift through.

Anyway, my problem is that I'm having trouble focusing, meditating, and visualizing. Affirmations are important yes, but the three things I listed above are like icing on the cake, it's what really allows things to happen. I have been trying for a number of weeks to get the hang of the whole LOA, although the concepts are easy to understand, knowing how to effectively put them into action seems to be a whole nother ball game. I'm having some serious troubles in my life that I desperately need to get out of asap. I want to believe and stay optimistic all the time, although it's hard to grasp something that seems so easy. I'd really like to start life fresh in a new uplifiting positive enviornment, instead of being in a stale old negative one.

How do you keep focus on the things you want, instead of what you don't want?
How do you hold meditation for a long period of time?
When I visual should I see myself as I am now or how I want to be?

Furthermore, I've noted that multiple times people have stated that money is a difficult thing to acquire through LOA, and I've yet to acquire any money not even checks in the mail. So if anyone has any insight on my situation, please help it will be much appreciated.

An insight on money that has helped me. You have to focus on the amount and leave everything up to the universe. Do not try to put a time constrant on it, do not try to put a way that it's coming into your life. Just focus on the money, the joy of having it, and how you will use it. Then it can come into your life when the universe wants it to. After all, the universe is wiser than we are and knows the perfect time.

I would also work on segment intending to help you throughout the day. It has been a really powerful process for me.

Hi billionairekid,

Has this worked for you in the above way? So that you really received that exact amount of money? So if I want a 1000 euro's extra this this month. I do not need to say, this month? But maybe it will take very long and I start to wonder if it's going to manifest.

An amount of money is coming my way (or extra money is coming in different ways) which one workes better, or is this for every person different?

Thank you very much in advance,
Love Wilma

I was searching for a thread on how to word my intention for my new job and I guess I manifested.... this thread :).

When I was laid off 3 weeks ago, I received 3, 4, 5 contacts each day for the first 2 weeks from people requesting me to come in for interviews. Most of them were too far away, not quite the money or benefits I want, etc. so I was being selective. I did go for a few of the interviews.

Last week, there was nothing to even apply for.

OK I am doing something different or incorrectly now. I am not freaking out about not having a job yet. I have needed a break. The last 3 years I have not had a vacation. I am constantly saying "I am enjoying my new job, it has these benefits, at this salary, and is an easy commute from my house. I enjoy my new co-workers". I live between 2 major metropolitan areas with job growth, so I don't understand what's going on now.

Please, help me re word my intention if needed - it seems I need some clarity/focus here.

OK, you say "I needed a break" which indicates there was (possibly still is) part of you that DIDN'T want a new job just yet. So...you don't have one.

Here's the thing about 'saying'. You can say all kinds of things, but what you believe may be entirely different and that belief is going to have more power than all the affirmations in the world. We are all prone to 'limiting beliefs' as well, so you need to check in with yourself to see if you are unconsciously holding yourself back in any way.

So, for example, is there part of you that would enjoy having the summer off? (It's possible especially since you haven't had a vacation in a long time). What do you believe about the job market in your area and especially in your field of work? What's your belief about hiring practices in the summer months?

How long do you think it will take to get a job? (when you answer this your answer should give you a positive physical response). How you 'feel' is a very good indicator of what you truly believe. How do you feel when people ask you about your job search? Are you calm? Are you nervous or anxious? Do you have a little knot in your stomach?

Another indicator is what you say when you speak to people as we tend to be unconscious in our conversations and our true beliefs slip out easily as does our habit for negativity. For example, if you ask some how they are doing, do they answer "not bad" (which is actually a negative based response) or do they say "I'm good" ? Small things, but very telling. So when someone asks you "how's the job search going?" what is your immediate response both verbally and physically?

The timing of events is anchored in our beliefs. If you believe it will take months to find a new job ~ it will.

For you, I don't think it's about clarity or focus, I think it's about alignment. You need to find out where you are misaligned between what you think and how you feel about getting a new job. Once you figure out what underlying beliefs are blocking you, you can then release them and things should flow smoothly. :o )

Bren - your response is exactly what I needed, when I needed it :). All of your questions were the right ones, and as soon as I read them I realized you unlocked the problem - I wanted to have a rather extended time out from work, I was so burnt out from an abusive situation. Even more so, about 5/6 weeks ago, before I left my last position, I told people that I was feeling upbeat about my chances for an even better job - yes sure, I wanted to take a bit of time off, but I was sure I would be working within 6 weeks at a great job.

So even though I was feeling great about my new job manifesting, never got the knot in the tummy, was setting a realistic, obtainable goal I was happy with, I *did* put a time frame on it when I talked to people.

I've been out of work 4 weeks yesterday.

This afternoon, I got a call out of the blue about a job I'd sent a resume in for nearly 2 weeks ago. My #1 dream type of job in my #2 dream industry and I have an interview on Friday. This afternoon, I found 4 new great jobs to apply for. So I did!

And this afternoon, I was standing in a field of waist high hay, looking across the valley. Nothing stood between me and the mountains, all I could see was 30 miles of fields, farm, cow, flower, tree. The sun was warm, the breeze was cool on my face, the sky was crystal blue, the only sound was the hay was gently rustling around me and my dog. Time stood still for a few moments, and I was truly blessed with some of those moments of clarity and peace that some people go their entire lives without experiencing even once. My dog felt it too. He's an amazing communicator. I have carried that peace with me all day today. It will all work out in the best possible way for me and very soon even if my job interview doesn't work out. ( I never stress out over interviews anyway)

What a wonderful day. Bren, I am so grateful for your taking the time to write your post - and being there JUST when I needed ya :). Several times today I realized how many things in my life I have already manifested without realizing it.

PS.. really sorry I babbled so much but I am a bit overflowing at the moment! YAY!

Since you are lookng for tips for meditation ill like to share my experience. So I started to medidate like 3 or maybe even 4 weeks ago for like 20mins a day but I saw nothing extreme i would just feel really relaxed, so i stoped for like 1 whole week, and my big experience came when it was weekend. I decided i had enough time to medidate and that i didnt care how long it would take, i was gonna medidate deeply so whent in my bed and closed my eye and started breathing, just breathing . so for about 20 mins i was getting more and more relaxed but then i fall asleep , but yet it been 20 mins where my body didnt move at all, and as i realise i was falling asleep i decide that i would mediate deeply no matter what, and at this time i felt very light and kept focusing on my breathing and about 5mins later my hands and arm started moving slowly and my head too, i felt like someone was take care of my soul like if i didnt had to worry about anything and that anything i ever wishes even being impossible for my mind, would be felt throw me and i stand in this position for about 45mins , untill it was getting late and i had to sleep but i could of whent like this forever, was very exhausting.

I'm happy to help. It's what I do! :o )

Hi Bren,

Maybe you can help me. I really want to know what my unconsious believes are. Is meditating a way to learn about them, or do you kow a different way?
Also I read that the intention you have entered your current life with is very important. It has to be in allignment with your wishes?? I do not know if my english is good, I hope you understand what I am saying. Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Love,
Wilma

Hi Wilma

Unconscious beliefs can be a little tricky to uncover, but if you are willing to spend a little time, you can do so.

The easiest way to start is to consider the way you were raised by your parents and your family environment. The values (morals) we are raised with often hold insight into where some of our limiting beliefs are created and are usually the ones we don't even think about.

So for example, let's talk about money.

How did your family think about money? What was their belief about it?
Did they believe you always have to work very hard for every penny? Did they believe that there was never enough money to meet their needs? Did they believe that you always had to save your money 'just in case', so spending it on non-essential things was a waste of money? Or did they believe that there would always be enough money for whatever they needed and wanted? Did they believe there would always be enough to save AND enough to spend as you wished in order to enjoy life?

Knowing what beliefs you were raised with regarding money will give you insight into possible limiting beliefs you hold about money.

You can do the same thing with any area of life. So, for example, let's take 'health'.

The science of epi-genetics has stated that at birth 85% of our DNA is BLANK. That means that only a mere 15% is coded with the DNA of our parents. So with this in mind, the odds of you having the gene that carries an illness that occurs often in your family is actually very slim.
Now, with that in mind, and as an example, let's say obesity is common in your family on your mom's side. So, for argument sake, let's also say that of that 15% of coded DNA half of it is from your mom and half from your dad. This brings the coded DNA from your mom down to 7.5% so the chances of you having diabetes is really small based on the numbers.

However, remember that 85% blank DNA? It gets coded through your environment ~ so from the environment itself (air & water quality, food, etc) and from the beliefs, thoughts and comments of your family (or whoever raised you). So, if from the time you were very young you were always told "You have to be careful what you eat or you will gain weight" or "you shouldn't eat sweets because your body holds onto the calories and you gain weight", or "our family has trouble with weight gain and have a lot of difficulty losing weight once it's on us" or similar comments, what in essence happens is the unconscious mind creates the pattern that eating certain foods or that because you are related, then obesity is pretty much a certainty for you.

The same can be applied to heredity illnesses. With such a small amount of coded DNA in you at birth, the odds of having the gene that causes the illness is, in fact, very small. However, if you are constantly told something it becomes a belief at the subconscious level.

Basically apply this to any area of your life and look at the beliefs you were raised with about money, health, happiness, work, relationships, etc. to find the beliefs for each. Once you know what the beliefs are, then you need to work to release them. Here's the tricky part. Often we 'think' we don't believe something any more ~ but the true test is how you feel when something happens that challenges the belief.

The truth of what you believe can be felt in the physical body so you need to be aware of how you feel about something. Using money as an example, if you say you don't believe that you always have to save money and not enjoy it, then when you see something you really like your first thought should be "I'm going to buy that for myself" and you should have some kind of good feeling. However, if you are still subconsciously holding the belief that you need to save and not spend money on unnecessary things, then your first thought may be "I can't spend that much on that". Or, if you do convince yourself to buy it, you may feel a knot in your stomach, or your mind is thinking of all the other things you will need to give up to 'save' the money you have just spent. An example would be "If I don't go out for dinner, or to movies for the next 2 or 3 months, then I can buy this"

Finally watch what you actually say. We often say the things our parents said to us. "If you dress like that you'll never get a nice man", "You need to be responsible and save your money and not go out so much" "Don't eat that, you'll get fat" "Be careful, you know cancer runs in our family"
"I have to be careful, people in my family gain weight easily". Listen to what you say about yourself to others, and what you say to others about life in general.

As for the intention you have entered this lifetime with and it's impact on your wishes, that depends on your belief. Personally (and this is my OPINION) I do believe the agreement we made before we incarnated on earth does have an impact on what we can achieve in this lifetime to a certain extent. I don't believe in 'fate' in the sense that everything is pre-determined; I believe we have choices and the choices we are given will eventually lead us to whatever our purpose is. Because we have choice, we can choose the easy road or the hard road to our purpose, either way we eventually end up where we are meant to be. As they say "All roads lead to Rome".

I think we need to look to the higher purpose of what we want to see if it's really in our best interests. I've had clients who have gotten exactly what they set out to get and then they found it wasn't as great as they thought it would be. A lot of people really don't know what they want, they just think they do. :o )

Hi Bren,

Thank you very much for explaining this to me, I think it will help me
a lot. Thank you very much for helping me on the way with this very extensional (?) answer of my question. I have one new question though. When your subconsious mind is saying "you have to work hard for your money". How do I get it to change in "money comes to me easy and frequently". Is it just by saying it over and over again in your mind? Thanks in advance.

Love,
Wilma from the Netherlands

No, saying it over and over again will not change the belief or any belief for that matter.

To release this on your own, you need to dig into it to find out what it's anchored in. So spend some time thinking about it. Usually there is a fear involved in it somewhere, with money the fear is usually attached to 'loss'. Loss of income, unable to pay bills, losing the roof over your head, etc. However, it could also be things like the perception of others; meaning if you're not working hard but money is coming easily to you, your family & friends may resent you, so by having to work hard for your money (like they are) you are 'just like them'. In other words, there may be emotional attachments/fears involved. The mind is an interesting and complex thing ~ it's amazing the stuff we come up with! LOL

So, figure out what possible fears are anchoring this belief and then work on releasing them by coming up with reasons why the fear isn't real.

For example, the fear is:
"if money comes easily and effortlessly to me, my family and friends will resent me and will want nothing to do with me".

The reasons this isn't true are:

1. My family and friends love and support me, they will be happy for me.
2. My family and friends will be happy for me and open to me helping them learn how to create the same energy into their lives
3. As I change and raise my vibration, it impacts those around me, so everyone in my life will be affected and their viberation raised, making them happier and more accepting and more interested in learning more and enjoying life

etc.

Here's the catch. Whatever 'reasons' you write down, YOU MUST BELIEVE THEM TO BE TRUE. You should feel happy or excited when you think of each reason. How you feel is the indication of the truth of the statement (for you).

As you shift your belief, you will physically feel different. More relaxed, excited, happy. As these emotions become a regular part of your daily existence you will find things begin to happen with greater ease and swiftness.

If you find it difficult to release the beliefs on your own, you can always try something like Timeline Therapy which doesn't require you to dig into your past, instead it works by collasping the gestalts of each negative emotion and each limiting belief. It's fast and very effective. Hypnotherapy or some other healing modality can be of help as well.
