Powerful Intentions: Law of Attraction Community

I am not sure if this topic was done already, but if it has can someone provide me a link with where a discussion about this mayor not have occurred. This forum grew rather quickly and there are a lot of posts to sift through.

Anyway, my problem is that I'm having trouble focusing, meditating, and visualizing. Affirmations are important yes, but the three things I listed above are like icing on the cake, it's what really allows things to happen. I have been trying for a number of weeks to get the hang of the whole LOA, although the concepts are easy to understand, knowing how to effectively put them into action seems to be a whole nother ball game. I'm having some serious troubles in my life that I desperately need to get out of asap. I want to believe and stay optimistic all the time, although it's hard to grasp something that seems so easy. I'd really like to start life fresh in a new uplifiting positive enviornment, instead of being in a stale old negative one.

How do you keep focus on the things you want, instead of what you don't want?
How do you hold meditation for a long period of time?
When I visual should I see myself as I am now or how I want to be?

Furthermore, I've noted that multiple times people have stated that money is a difficult thing to acquire through LOA, and I've yet to acquire any money not even checks in the mail. So if anyone has any insight on my situation, please help it will be much appreciated.

Hi Bren,

I think my unconsious believe is loss, because I'am a single mom and the roof over my head and things (food and clothes) to buy for my doughters is very important. I do not think that my friends and family will resent me. Just the opposite I think, I will be glad to help them raise their energy also. But another question (they keep popping up and you answers are really very clear to me), what is Timeline Therapy, do you need to go to a therapist or can you do this on your own. And what does 'collasping the gestalts' mean? My english is not so well.

Very much thanks in advance,
Wilma
Hi Wilma

First, let me explain 'timeline'. Your timeline is how you sort time. Now, if you believe in past lives, your timeline will include past lives and past generations as well as your current life.

You visualize your timeline in relation to your body. Does it go through your body? Is it in front of your body? Behind it? Above it? Is it a straight line? Does it have a bend in it? A wavy line?, A spiral? A combination?

However you experience your timeline is correct for you.
Determine in what direction the Past is in and what direction the Future is in.. You need to know so you can easilly move back and forth along your timeline.

Now, let me explain the 'gestalt'. Imagine each of your emotions, both the positive and negative, are a string of beads. So you have a string of beads for anger, a different string of beads for sorrow, a string for guilt, one for shame, one for love, one for happiness, etc.

I'm going to use anger to explain this, but the same rule applies to all.

Each bead on the anger string represents a time you got angry in this lifetime & past lifetimes (if you believe in past lives). Some beads may be bigger than others because they were events that really angered you, others may be smaller because they were times when you were angry at the moment, but got over it quickly. They are all linked together as your anger is. So, when something happens that makes you angry, sometimes it's a 'new' anger and sometimes the reason you are getting angry is because something in the current situation is triggering an emotional memory where you experienced anger. For example, you may say something to someone and they explode at you, and you're standing there thinking "what did I say that made them THIS angry?!"

What has happened is whatever you said triggered a emotional memory where someone else had said something similar to them, perhaps in a nasty way, or during a fight, and the person is responding to 'that past event' in present time.

A simpler way of explaining it is this way. Let's say you had a big fight with someone 2 years ago and today, someone asks you about that person. You explain that you no longer speak to that person and you go on to tell them about the fight. As you tell them you feel the anger rising in you again as though you had just had the fight earlier this morning. In essence, you are carrying this anger with you in present time (& how many other anger issues?, how much sadness?, how much guilt?, etc). This emotional baggage weighs you down because part of your energy is engaged in keeping it 'alive' and the more energy engaged in old emotion, the less energy available to you to create/manifest in present time.

Now, let's consider the very first event that caused anger. Now remember, this is the very first event, so you have no frame of reference, you don't know what anger is simply because you have never experienced before. That first event (bead) is the anchor to your anger gestalt. It is a reference point that says "Whenever you feel like this, it's anger", so every time you feel anger after that first time, it links up to the other anger events, each with different experiences and ranges of anger.

Timeline Therapy is a blend of visualization and very light hypnosis. So it is basically a guided visualization where you are guided back in time (along your timeline) to that first event (or to the events that lead up to that first event) and asked to look at it from a distance and find any learning that is there for you. The idea is for you to gain whatever learning is there and then to release the emotion. Keep the learning, leave the emotion. Then you go 15 minutes further BACK, before the event happened, and look for anger. If you were indeed at the very first event, then when you are 15 minutes before the event, there will be no anger because you have not experienced it yet.
Then, as you travel forward to present day (above your timeline) you quickly gather
LOL - I got cut off. Here is the rest of my post....about timeline

Then, as you travel forward to present day (above your timeline) you quickly gather the learning from every instance of anger along the way and release the anger in each memory. It's done at quantum speed so it's quick and you don't have to relive or reexperience each event. Your subconscious mind gathers what it needs and releases the rest. As it does this, your anger gestalt collapses, like beads falling off the string because you removed the anchor bead that held the other beads in place. When you remove the anchor, the others have no reference and everything collapses.

Once back in present time, you test it out to make sure it's gone by 'going back' to a specific event in your past that made you angry and see if you still feel angry. If done correctly, you will remember the event, but not feel the anger. There may be other emotions involved there (betrayal, bitterness, for example), so you have to be specific when you check. You check specifically for the emotion you have just released. In this case anger. If it's still there, then you didn't go back far enough, you may have only gone back to a very traumatic event instead of the first event. Simply repeat the process and go back again, telling the unconscious mind you want to go back to the very first event.

If there are other emotions, note them because they will need to be released separately.

Can you do this on yourself? Yes, it's possible to do on yourself though you will have to work on it because you will have to 'guide yourself' through the steps, so you have to engage both your conscious and subconscious minds. Sometimes, the conscious mind has a little too much to say and wants to analyze everything and it's not necessary to dig up everything and analyze it.

The unconscious mind knows what lessons are there, even if it makes no sense to the conscious mind or even if you feel like you aren't getting anything. Also, the first answer you get is always the right answer. Sometimes the answer comes the the conscious mind says "No way" or "that's stupid" or "it's not possible to remember something that happened in the womb or 5 past lives ago".

Having a Timeline Practitioner guide you through it makes it quicker and easier because you basically just follow their guidance and the conscious mind has less time to interfere.

Now a couple of important things if you are going to try this on yourself.

1. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS release ANGER FIRST
Emotions are 2 sides of the same coin. Therefore Anger is one side, Sorrow is the other. When you release one side, the other side is amplified and loses it's balance and control. While releasing anger may make you burst into tears (amplification of sorrow); releasing sorrow 1st may send you off in a rage. Do not ever underestimate the depth of your emotion, especially your anger.
If you find your anger isn't fully released, you may want to try releasing 'rage' as we are all unique and some may keep their rage and anger on the same gestalt and some may actually have separate gestalts. If it is separate, then it needs to be released separately.

2. When you are certain you have released all anger, then, and only then, release Sorrow/Sadness. Again, you may have a separate gestalt for 'Grief' you will have to figure that out.

3. Always release Anger & Sorrow in that order as closely together as possible. In other words, as soon as you have released Anger/Rage then release Sorrow/Grief.

4. You only release NEGATIVE EMOTIONS. Keep the happy positive ones. :o )))

5. You release limiting beliefs in the same way.

6. The first event of any emotion is before the age of 7. If you are going back to the first event and find you are older than 7, then you are at a traumatic event, not the first event.
Geez, there must be a word limit here! LOL

Anyway here are the last couple of paragraphs:

You may find it beneficial to meditate first so you are calm and clear. Make sure you have enough quiet time available to you. No ringing phones, no kids needing your attention, no multi-tasking (i.e. don't try to do this between loads of laundry or while dinner is cooking)

When I do this work with a client, it generally takes approximately 4 to 6 sessions, with each session being 1.5hrs in length. It may require more sessions depending on how many negative emotions and limiting beliefs they hold. Also, you can use Timeline Therapy to insert goals into your future, so often clients will want an additional session for 'goals'.

Whew ~ I think I've written a book here! LOL :o )
is there anyway to save discussions on my profile? I really want to keep those meditation directions and this post because it's helped me out a lot.

laymans terms, focus is in your mind. If you are having trouble focusing find what is distracting you, think about what it is and why it is causing these feelings, then come up with a logical solution. Running away will not help if it is a fear you must conquer it. Visualize what you want. There is an old chocktaw saying "If you believe it, it will happen." Good luck to you
