The art teacher from when I was in middle school 25 years ago wouldn't allow us to say the word "can't" - I still believe that today.

That second saying is kind'a like....
,,,,treat your family like friends and your friends like family...........

In other words,
......... honor the place in them, that is in you.....Namaste'

Or....do unto other as you would have others do unto you.......

And what wisdom would that be? I do not agree with that and I wonder if it is out of context or has an opposite meaning, such as
....Ignorance is bliss...
.......... which is true until you ask a question and the answer comes...Then the bliss is gone and we need to keep asking questions until we know true bliss.
(There I go babbling again)

ya, no kidding. i see no uplifting in denying the gifts of god that are designed and desiring to be showered all over me....poverty is a denial of wisdom when deliberate and the bondage of unknowing when by default in my opinion.

i grew up thinking good girls don't want....anything. glad to be free of that non-sense.

but just to let us all off the hook....maybe what that is TRYING to say is that even in poverty....happiness CAN be found.....which really is something that the wise would know SO THAT THEY CAN MOVE OUT OF the "p" word.

I grew up thinking that wanting was bad....thought it for thirty years.....sorry for referring to your thoughts as non-sense. That was unnecessary of me. I respect and enjoy you no matter what....bit of a strong reaction on my part to something that is none of my business really.

what was I thinking? Thank you too for showing me where I am.

Hi Patra, (off the subject)
I like the way you wrote 'non - sense' . I am in alignment with the words and shifting our thinking about them when we say them and hear them.
.. Like... 'dis - ease' and 'be -lieve' (be- live), well - being, re-member. Maybe you should or we should start a .discussion on "shifting our thoughts about words" or true meaning and see how many people really think about that?
