Powerful Intentions: Law of Attraction Community

I have lately known that this was coming- I had been negative and worrying even though i had nothing to worry about...
WHAM.

1. Boyfriend breaks up with me and gets a new partner.
2. My job ends in two weeks.
3. My car reg. is being held up by parking tix (1600 worth) from two years ago, and I can't get a loan to pay them off because my credit- my father used my ssn when i was younger and ruined my credit.
4. My lease is up in four weeks.... i have no where to go cause i have no income yet...






I just feel so defeated. I've been trying to lift myself out of this but at the end of the day again I'm full of worry and negativity. I hate hating who I'm being. It's so hard to feel good in the situation...



Does anyone have some advice or help? I just seriously feel so lost in negativity and feel SO defeated...

ouch , when it's bad it's bad, so the only way to go is up and get back into the positive :>) You should ask yourself, what is the universe teaching you and what do you need to do to change. If you change your thoughts you change the outlook of this situation. Just keep telling yourself that it will be ok. :>)

#1--Give thanks for all that you DO have. Write a list of at least 15 things that you are grateful for and really appreciate what you Do have. There's so much other great stuff that you have going for you right now. It's there just look.

#2--As hard as it may be to believe, none of what you said is "awful, terrible or horrible". They truly are just inconvenient challenges. Truly. I promise. by calling these things horrible you are just magnifying an inconvenient challenges.----the relationship ended---it's not pleasant, but it's a challenge you can overcome. If you think about it, it just means that you are now not paired up with someone that you were NOT meant to be with. The same thing with all these other issues you mentioned. They are all interesting challenges, not awful events. Please remember that.

#3 It will be challenging, but totally doable, keep affirming what you DO want. If you find it hard to stay very positive, try doing what Abraham suggests, which is just reaching for believable thoughts that keep you for feeling worse. Read "The astonishing power of emotions" for a very detailed explanation of how that works.

#4 Really practice being super vigilant of your thoughts and feelings. This does not mean that I am saying you should be perfectly positive because I know that is easier said than done. The main thing is watch out for being immobilized by negativity and keep using this as a time to practice mastering your thought life.

On a practical level, what about friends and family? It sounds like the time to reach out to those close to you.

This is awesome. This is why I joined the community in the first place. If you read my info on my page I was at the highest happy place I had ever been. How funny that I wrote about myself. 'Sometimes we all just need reminders'.

Thank you so much for you suggestions. I haven't been writting in my graditude journal nor being stopping myself from negative thinking. Even if it seems hard, i have to do it.

You're right, and I know this, it's all doable. I've been lacking in the not worrying about the 'how'. I've been VERY caught up in the 'how will it'. I don't need to worrya bout that and that's the hard part.


Is that a book or an article that you were talking about?

The astonishing power of emotions is an Abraham-Hicks book. (However, if you don't want to run out and get it, you can ask on the forum on "Abrahams approach to reaching for higher thoughts" and I'm sure you'll get a big response since there's hundreds of Abe fans on here)
Also, a great book to help with mastering your thought life is a book called "Loving what is" by Byron Katie. she created a system called The Work that offers one of the best ways I've seen to master your thought life from getting out of control.
She has a lot of demos on youtube doing "the work". If you combine "the work" with LOA you'll do ok.
