Powerful Intentions: Law of Attraction Community

Dear friends,

Recently, I was reading one of my many positive motivation books and came across something that I found helps me each day when I slip into a "feeling sorry for myself" mood......the author said that writing a love letter to yourself each day and writing things about yourself will not only inspire you but can break the cycle of depression (if you suffer like I do) and each day keep adding to the list!

I've noticed for the past few weeks since doing this I feel so exhilirated and full of positive self -esteem.

I just thought I would share the knowledge and if it helps you to feel good then I feel good and grateful!

Try It!

You just might discover that you have so many beautiful qualities that are often down played with negative thoughts about ourselves and once you start you will find it hard to stop saying/thinking good things about yourself....have fun!

Peace and Blessings today and always!

Hi Sabah.

Your idea IS JUST GREAT!!!!!
It happens to be quite similar to, for example what W Clement Stone used to live (for that matter I do it for myself) Which is to live life to the fullest KNOWING that the Universe is "conspiring " to grant you happiness.

Thank you for sharing you idea and experiences.

You are right....Who better else to give you all the praises than "You" b/c certainly we cant expect it from others. WE HAVE TO TAKE OWNERSHIP OF OUR OWN MENTAL AND PHYSICAL STATE. we have to fill ourselves up with so much good self talk that we can hardly contain it....and its not about us being self consumed or conceded...NO its callled self Love and having a healthy self awareness. Do you agree?

Hi Sabah,

This is wonderful for self-love. I was wondering if there was a place I could see some samples of how and what people write? Some people have written letters to themselves, never re-read them, surely mailed the letters to themselves, at a later time finding out what they've desired for something in the future have materialized! So we can do just for self-love and/or combine with our desires with a timeframe in mind for the future. One can also email themselves loving thoughts each day.

Also, I have read people writing letters to God as well. I normally write down questions, asking for guidance and am not sure what happens most of the times. Have you ever done that, write letters to God? If worded correctly, some of them could very well serve as out intention statements?

Thanks, love, Mary

Hi Mary,

Yes, I make it a daily practice to write letters to God - in fact I wrote one yesterday. I generally write my thoughts, my desires, my feelings and even my fears.. etc...

I often send myself emails as inspiratiion to start my day.

Here's what I sent myself this morning as a matter a fact:

"How are you today Sabah? Are you feeling ok? Are you practicing gratitude to the fullest despite what might be going in in your life right now? Are you praising God for the good things he has blessed you with today? Are you thriving? Are you optimistic that abundance is seeking you and rushing to you? I hope you are! because it is. You are on the right track, the messengers know this and they are making final attempts to break your spirit. You wont let them. HA! Laugh at them....tell them they wont win....so keep it moving...:>)"

Sabah,

How wonderful! So you're finding yourself in higher place more and more by doing all of these, I assume?

In writing down fears to God, I have seen some amazing results. I know, this one may be off your original topic. Some events took place and I did something that my heart desired. Then I got worried about the outcome (all fear-based). So I would write down a list of concerns and will write down next to each of them how I envision the results to be. At the bottom of the page, I will thank God. I have seen, more important the things were in my thoughts, more power they had and within 1/2 months, I have seen the results in my favor as if what I chose, I got? LOA and God together?

Anyway, I plan to write myself something really nice today.

Thank you.
Love & blessings.

That is so great Mary. See it is working....sometime we pray for a thing and when we dont see the results instantly we give up, feel failure, or just think God doesnt hear our prayers but he does and what I learned....He works in his time not in ours!
The other day I was reflecting on all the prayers and letters to God I had made in 2007 - now keep in mind last year was probably the most trying year I'd ever experienced in three years of being a divorcee. ANYway, I happened to be looking through some letters I'd written and I was almost stunned when i saw some of the things I'd been praying and asking him for that have all come to pass this year....tears just welled up in my eyes (and even now).

Sabah,

This is exactly how mine happened. Everyday, in a closed notebook, I write something to God either asking for His guidance or a question should I hold onto this or that (since some of those have been so long), or what exactly am I supposed to do. Then a few weeks later, when I run into them, I am often amazed! And just like you, I would be saying thank yous millions of times until I drop. LOL! But I have to say that in so many years, I am nowhere near the dearest thing that I desire or the improved life that I desire and need and the chronological clock is not kind either.

I keep on writing and God makes me take inspired actions, sometimes they bring in good results but not enough to manifest the desire, or even get close enough. Other times, they feel like total waste of time and efforts and I wonder if not God then who inspired me so powerfully? And I am not for impulse actions in everything, especially some things that really matter, I keep asking God until I feel it's okay and even a lot of those didn't bring in good results. So I am at loss a lot of times, these days. Perhaps writing regular, clear letters to God may be of some help? I sure don't know what else to do.

Thanks, Love, Mary

thank you for that....believe it or not, it is a manifestation of what I needed today.

Wonderful Kevin. I felt inspired for some reason to share that b/c I felt others needed it.
