Powerful Intentions: Law of Attraction Community

Hello,
I have a question....I am completely new to LOA...I posted this in one of the groups, but I think more people might see it here.

I understand that we bring to us what we believe. But what about certain circumstances.
For instance, I will give a personal example.

I took a medial test earlier this year, completely convinced that the results were going to be very bad. They turned out completely normal. Now, how could this happen if I was worrying so much and was convinced of a bad result? Shouldn't the result have been bad, if that was what I really believed?

How does LOA reconcile with events like this, because this happens all the time in life, and I don't understand the conflict. People are convinced of bad outcomes, and it doesn't always happen....you know, the "95% of what we worry about never comes true" saying...?

I like that theory about worrying. I to have had a bad problem with worrying since loss of relationships and blood clots.
I been missing from this forum for along time. But it's time to get back.....

I had a similar situation happen to me, and I felt like it was because I was ready to deal with it and since I believed it so much I actually said bring it on I can handle this. And the truth was because I felt that way about it there was nothing in it for me to learn. I already knew what I needed to know or experience from that situation.

I really wouldn't take for granted how fortunate you have been.....There is no conflict, you are just not sure of your vibrational setting.....The Law never fails, it may not unfold they way you might of thought, but it does not fail.....doesn't always happen? But what is it that you can see?

Let me ask you this, you may have been convinced and terribly worried about the test, but did you ACTUALLY WANT THE TEST TO COME BACK ABNORMAL? Is that what you really wanted? You may have thought about it and yes I'm sure you were worried but deep down did you really WANT IT TO COME BACK ABNORMAL? Of course you didn't, who would WANT THAT?

So you may have felt convinced, but in your being, of course you prayed for relief, good news, a miracle even.....

YES THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME IN LIFE.....BE THANKFUL, BE GRATEFUL, BE HUMBLE, AND IF YOU ARE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO COME OUT AHEAD WHEN YOU ARE VYING FOR THE TITLE WITHIN YOURSELF.....BE THANKFUL MORE!

Awesome, now that is very interesting. No, I was terrified of something abnormal. I did NOT want a "bad" outcome,....I wanted everything to be fine, and it was.....that makes sense!!

Hi Val,

We all have slightly different interpretations because we all have different thoughts, different thought patterns and different emotional baggage so we all manifest different things, even different interpretations of LOA.

heres my take on it ... thoughts are nothing on their own, but coupled with strong emotions "then thoughs become things". In the physical body "thoughts" become neuropeptides, they become molecules and they become streams of "cortisone, adrenoline, if you are stressed, serotonine, dopamine if you are happy etc etc. Worrisome thoughts become cortisone and adrenoline and from a flood of attack on the body called stress syndrome ...this can lead to immune system failure, it can lead to stroke, it can lead to stomach ulcers etc.

Outside the body, "thoughts" become things too, they travel out of the body in waves and bring situations that vibrate in the same way, ie a worrisome thought about test results, brings a worrisome day of waiting for the results to come and a worrisome interview with a doctor. All these worrisome thoughts are damaging your body even if the results are good. But the moment you get "good" news, you start to smile and feel grateful and then these new thoughts flood the body with "seratonin" which starts to reverse the effects of the negative chemicals and hte dis-ease in your body starts to halt and reverse.

If you had deep resentment for a spouse or parent for years, your thoughts might cause a "cancer" to form in your body. When you are diagnosed, the "fear" makes the cancer worse, it become critical. The doctor gives you hope by saying it can be cut out. After surgery you feel great the cancer is gone and you go home feeling well. But the euphoria wears off and the old thougths of resentment for the spouse or parent returns and the "thoughts" start a drip drip of negativity in your body causing a cancer to form again. Your doctor says "cancers often return" ....but what he misses is the reason "why" it returns ...no body helped this patient to solve the realproblem, the resentment. So the cycle goes on.

We CAN cure anything, all illnesses are caused by "negative emotionally charged thoughts", often ones that have been going on for a long time. The CURE, is releasing old wounds, grudges, prejudices, and bringing back JOY, LOVE, FUN into our lives.

Fun and laughter cause the body to become "Alkaline". NO bacteria or virus can live in an alkaline environment, they need acidity ...worry, stress, anger, fear all cause acidity.

Thoughts are Photons of light. Photons of light can be waves or particles, when they are waves they are "unmanifest" and when they become particles they are "manifest". Many of our thoughts have little or no meaning, they are just musings, but when they are weighed down with strong emotions, fear, anger, love, compassion, joy they are POWERFUL manifestors both of things in our bodies and of things out side of our bodies.

So dont sweat the little things, but try every day of your life to be a little happier, a little lighter, have a little more fun, be a little more forgiving and loving and you can look forward to great health.

wow Gen, I've felt very inspired for what you've written. I've hearded explanations about this in the past and I also experienced (as we all do...) my body changing as my emotions do... but the way you've explained it makes it just so clear, and it's also very inspiring ;D thanks!

Yes, I understand and know what my negative issues are, and what illness and unhappiness they have caused me. Forgiveness, anger, and letting go, for instance, is a big one I am working on now with my parents.

That is a VERY good description of what goes on in the body with thoughts and illness, thank you!

Worry is simply misdirected imagination...

So, for me...I choose only to imagine the "good stuff"!...and lots of good stuff shows up!...

Occasionally..."contrast" does show up...but, I Appreciate it...I know that it is part of the journey...it gives me clarity as to what I do want...I know that it is the catalyst for launching a new "rocket of desire"!

My feeling is that worry itself can be its own prison...it certainly does not feel joyful in the moment...so, why spend any time at all in that place?!?!?

The beautiful thing is that you have the free will to choose how and where you direct your imagination!

Create something beautiful in the moment and your physical experience will mirror your inner experience...

I have thought the same thing you do. The answers here are wonderful, and they all have something to tell you from which you can choose what feels best.

Yes, emotions are the factor. I hear people saying "visualize the details," and others say, "it's your intent that counts." So whatever feels great for you is what you can do. I do both at times. So it's kinda fun to just flit around and be free to find what works without "worrying" about it.

I tend to deal with anxiety, so I know how it can be. I'm finding help for that which has been awesome. Meanwhile, I reach for a good-feeling thought, which sometimes is just: "Don't worry about it all making sense. There are things you may not understand, but find what feels GOOD to you. That's all that matters." If we get lost in the details, we only drag our vibe down, because then we're concerned about MENTALLY understanding stuff. Oh, sure! I like mentally understanding things -- it's fun! But even such things can have varying interpretations. So then, I pick what I like the best. And that's the wonder of this playground in which we live...we find the beauty in what we see, know, and desire, and we go for it.

So I recommend that you find what you FEEL is best -- that indeed, just because you're scared of something doesn't mean it's gonna happen to you -- gee whiz, if everything I feared happened to me, well, I'd be dead by now. And I know that in my heart, I probably don't believe what I fear, deep down.

And if I spent a lot of time trying to figure all that out, I'd have no time for anything else. Again, I trust that the Universe (and/or my Source who is actually me anyway) will lead me to what I need to know.

I agree -- your fears don't have to happen. That perspective, if it engenders more fear in me, is not right for me to believe, if it leads me to be more fearful! So I then choose to believe that not everything I fear is going to come to pass.

On the other hand, some people find peace in knowing that they can create good things for themselves and such information really motivates them to find their best-feeling thoughts. It's a great thing to do, no matter what!
