Hi Bernard...
What really is your question... Is it, am I struggling with faith in my Church or am I struggling with faith in God?
To me Bernard... It sounds like your feet are getting to big for your shoes... Please do not be afraid to remove them and walk the road with ease...
If you want my take on that, Religion is definitly a man made thing... It is based on traditions and tradition is definitly something of the flesh... Do not get me wrong... It has its place right there in the flesh and whatever else vibrates this low...
Dismissing on thing however does not mean denying its truth, its essence...
The truth indeed embrasses all truths because of oneness...
The Principle of your faith are true... Jesus was indeed the son of God as I hope you understand that we all are... He did gave his blood for us as many others did... He is the way that others have also walked... So is that it? Are you going to be satisfied with just that?
Dont you find that as much as all those churchs have different walls they do have a common essence? So what really is important their denomination or their aspiration?
Let your lamp open, your spirit needs the space...

ahhh and so many wars are based on religion...
children standing at a line drawn in the sand saying I am right because my father said so...
and the other child says but MY father told me that I am right and unless you want to insult my dad you can't be RIGHT! The first child say's yeah you want a black eye buddy! lol lol lol

That is my view of 'religion' lol, and hopefully ya'll can see the joke.
So yes I think it depends on what we are born into, raised as and how intense religion was put on to us. I think alot of us our lucky that we have been able to start believing for ourselves without guilt.

and how will are we to open to the evidence of that assertion?

maybe your questions are a nature movement to reconcile that which is already known but not admitted!

You are not struggling, you are seeking to find your own truth, until it doesn't fit you anymore, then you will have outgrown it and move to something that feels better, true-er, for you!!

I personally listen to Conversations With God by Neal Donald Walsch and the Abraham-Hicks recordings. Then I have comforted my left brain by listening to Gregg Braden and Bruce Lipton!
Throw in some of the research by Sylvia Browne and WOWOWOOW!!!! It seems to be making sense to my little linear mind and heart!

I agree that all the Conversations with God books are absolutely wonderful and I keep going back to them! For even further very inspiring truths, you might like to check out "The Disappearance of the Universe" by Gary R. Renard. This book will then lead you to "A Course In Miracles" which is complied by The Foundation For Inner Peace. These profound works are life changing in more ways that I could possibly describe. Do a little google on Gary and the Foundation For Inner Peace to get an overview and see if you feel like you are ready for this kind of information.
